Fantastic Villa with pool in the nowhere to explore pure nature at the rough cost. The ocean is amazing for walks and the nearby river with rice fields has many birds, monkeys and big "salti"-crocodiles - take care:) In Kirirnda is nothing but a very nice temple on the rocks. The villa´s garden is beautiful, and you get every evening a outside diner with a safari fireplace atmosphere. Amazing Staff - so freindly and heartfelt!

A wonderful wonderful property, Beautifully styled with art, books and antique furniture, has the feel and ambience of a rather grand but cosy private Villa. The staff are particularly kind and attentive, and the chef is really a top class chef, food worthy of a starred London restaurant. The owner has a few other Villa hotels and based on our stay here, we went to another of her hotels, Villa Vista in Haputale - One of the most magical places we have ever stayed. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, just brilliant and urge you to find others in the same group

“A lovely small well run hotel in a pretty environment.”

This a lovely small hotel with only 4 well appointed rooms. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Falmy and his staff were extremely kind and helpful and made our 2 night stay a very pleasant stay. We were staying at the hotel on a half board basis and had delicious evening mealsand breakfasts. Many of the dishes were Sri Lankan specialities which we were very happy to enjoy. The hotel does not serve alcohol so we went to the new resort across the road which is on the beach and had some cocktails.

“Stunning property and wonderful food”

Wonderful decor, beautiful rooms, stunning gardens, kind and helpful staff and exceptional food - the best we have eaten in ten years visiting Sri Lanka. Lots of wildlife in the garden for nature lovers including bold monkeys and a resident monitor lizard. Just outside the gate on the bridge, crocodiles basking on the river bank and wild tortoises.

“A Gem Hidden on Kirinda Beach”

What can I say, this is not quite off the beaten track but enough for it to be a unique and memorable experience. Our room was classically adorned and shuttered given some of the me very interesting wildlife that we met but a lack of light did not detract because there was so much else to enjoy. The pool and grounds were idyllic and in keeping with environment, monitor lizards just walked on by and the bird life was great to see The food was exemplary and truly authentic and not lacking in portions. We ate at a very romantic outdoor terrace next to a pond which at night was full of turtles. We couldn’t buy alcohol there but amazingly there was what I can only describe as the most unique off licence over the road. Limited choice but open 10-10 except poya days (religious holiday). In the other direction was a very nice seafood restaurant who don’t mind you just having a drink. We’re drinkers and so made the most of those facilities. Ricky and his team become your best mates during your stay and they will live long in the memory as well as the incredible deserted beach just over the road. A wonderful stay!!

“A perfect three night stay away to relax and enjoy!”

Everything! This has been the most amazing experience and we have loved every minute of our stay. The room was perfect and spotlessly clean and the extensive grounds and pool area were beautifully maintained. The breakfasts and evening meal were so perfect, we stayed three nights and had a real variety. The staff were just the best and were so friendly and accommodating. We have had the most enjoyable and relaxing three nights and could have stayed longer!

“Peaceful retreat”

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautifully decorated, peaceful and quiet, with monkeys stopping by each day. The grounds are stunning, and the food and service were exceptional — easily the best we experienced in Sri Lanka. The 5am coffee before our safari was a wonderful and thoughtful touch. The staff were incredibly friendly and so kind to our young children. We will be back!
