“A lovely villa located in a quiet village with fantastic owners”

Although we arrived quite late, the owners were waiting for us and prepared us a delicious welcome dinner and showed us where everything was. The villa is located in a quiet village with very friendly neighbours within 12 minutes from the town and there is a lot of beautiful sites and villages to visit within a 30-45 min drive. The owner came every other morning to water the plants and check the pool (and always left us some fruits and vegetables). Michaelis even helped me sort out how to pay a parking ticket (everything was written in greek). We even had a lovely cat who joined us every morning for breakfast and every afternoon for aperitif, and we felt very sad to leave her there. We hope the next people will also take care of her.

“Excellent stay at Villa Cardia”

The setup of the villa is excellent for a travelling group of 2 families. With the two separate kitchens and living rooms, you can choose to separate the group when necessary. All rooms have A/C and enough closet space. The outdoor kitchen is perfect and has a nice grilling area. The kids also loved pool, they were often swimming even before breakfast.

Beautiful house in a picturesque and authentic Cretan village. The house is actually a small estate, consisting of 3 connected houses. There are 4 bedrooms, each with a separate entrance and private bathroom. Also, there are 2 fully equipped kitchens, a barbecue and everything you may need. The pool is large, and super clean, as the hosts are maintaining it daily. As for the hosts, we could not expect more from Michael and his father. They were there daily for us, bringing in olive oil, fresh fruits, vegetables from their garden, raki and many other treats. They also maintained the property daily, even taking out our thrash. We travel a lot, but have never been greeted like this, it was like staying in the house of your close relatives! The location of the house is great, as it is situated in a hilltop village, with great views (from the terraces you actually have a sea view), and it is only a short drive to Rethymno. On average it will take you 20 minutes from the house to the public parking in Rethymno. Also, the South side of the island is an hour drive (which is good for Crete) and you can easily enjoy natural beauties of the Southern Crete from this house. All in all, we have never enjoyed any accommodation more than this beautiful house.
