Above-average size, Japanese style room. Very quiet, not touristic location that allows experiencing local shops and restaurants, and how Kyoto residents go about their daily life. Near to convenience store, supermarket, coin laundry facilities (the excellent ones, equipped with WiFi, are within 20 min walking distance) and public bath (did not try it). Ideal location for exploring the nearby Kitano Tenmangu and other temples and shrines in the area (easily reachable on foot or by bus). Possibility to attend the daily Buddhist morning prayer (otsutome) at 06:15 AM (during winter time, check for summer timings) in the main Ryuhonji temple hall. Portable WiFi, very useful for navigating the city.
