Overview
On a renovated cargo ship on the Maasplas Spanjaaerd in Belgium Limburg, Botel Ophoven offers functional cabins with private bathroom. Maaseik is 6 minutes by car and shopping village Maasmechelen is 20 km away. The bathroom includes a bath or shower, free toiletries are also provided. Guests can enjoy the breakfast buffet offered by Botel Ophoven or relax and have a drink and snack in the bar. Guests can also join a BBQ which is held every Friday and Saturday. Several lunchrooms, bars and restaurants can be found in Maaseik. Ophoven provides a Spa & Wellness centre, sauna and water sport facilities are also on site. Canoeing and fishing activities can be arranged via the hotel. A games room is available for children.You can also rent a sloop, or enjoy a cooking lesson in De Kombuis. Thorn is 7 km away, known for its unique white houses in the centre. Stevensweert is 15 km from away. The Dutch A2-highway is 16 minutes by car.

“Peaceful and comfortable stay”
On arrival Yana gave us a really friendly welcome with lots of information regarding the local area and her botel. Yana went above and beyond to recommend somewhere to eat and make a table reservation for us. The cabin was well appointed, quiet and comfortable. We had everything we needed and enjoyed a relaxing, peaceful stay and a good night’s sleep. There was a good variety of breakfast items, all cooked fresh and of good quality. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

“Original stay”
Very original stay on a boat, in a beautiful area which is great for biking. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
