Location, facilities, food, staff. Everything was on point and done perfectly. The dinner meal was huge, bring your appetite. Close proximity to some great Onsen, and a lovely walk along the main road to the Ropeway.

What a find ! Right in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen, Toki to Toki is a fabulous ryokan. It’s the little things associated with guest wellness that make the difference - from the lovely food, the drinks, the vibrant decor to the essential oils available to scent your room and the amazingly attentive staff. A delight to have found.

“Must-stay ryokan”

Tokitotoki is a fantastic little ryokan near the Kinosakionsen station. The staff are so kind and helpful and there is food and snacks around the clock. The two private onsen are really nice, and the beds are the most comfortable we've had so far in Japan. There's are only a few rooms, so the ryokan is very quiet. We stayed at a pricier ryokan the following night and found Tokitotoki to be much cozier and have better amenities. Would absolutely stay again.

Staff greets you from the very First second and explains you every single Service, which the Hotel offers. Often Times you struggle to find everything Out by yourself - Here, the staff encourages you to actively Join their free additional Services Like Tea and Matcha, Cake and free beverages Like Cocktails, Beer or Sake. The Hotel has two private Onsen and only a few guests, this way you are Most of the time private by yourself. You also get a free bathpass for the 7 Onsen in the City. Breakfast can be choosen: Western or Japanese. Overall I recommend and as soon ascwe visit Japan again, we will come Back.

The team at Tokitotoki made sure that we would never want for anything - absolutely every request was met with kindness, warmth, and consideration for us. They even knew which dishes were our favorite by the end of our stay! The staff have a high degree of English understanding, and are so lovely to speak with. It was also very nice to see both Japanese and foreign guests in the mixed lounge-style dinners. It was the perfect mix of privacy with the option to converse with others if you desire. Everyone was respectful of the space due to the thoughtful design. The room was beautiful and had sliding doors and shoji for the window area to allow beautiful control of light and comfort. We took full advantage of the buffet and endless drinks during our stay, and Tokitotoki always had delightful snacks and refreshments available to restore you from the heat of the day. There was a wide variety of options to suit every palate. Tokitotoki will always have a special place in our hearts :) Thank you for your hospitality - we are restored in both body and mind. We hope to return to Tokitotoki for a future trip.

The staff is super nice, welcoming and they do everything they can to accommodate the guests. The meals are beyond generous so you won’t be hungry there. The selection of drinks is really nice. The room was clean and comfortable.

Great location - we had an amazing stay here - the staff were so friendly and made our stay enjoyable and they were very accommodating. There were lots of snacks and drinks available to use throughout the day. Rooms were very clean and had a lovely ambience and view - the beds were also very comfortable.

“AMAZING! Highly recommend!!!!”

Our stay at Tokitotoki was simply exceptional and made the highlight of our trip so far in Japan. This is by far the best hotel me or my husband have ever stayed in- and I have been in many 4 star and up in Europe. The staff were welcoming and their help always exceeded expectations. The hotel is impeccably clean and in very good condition. There are free soft and alcoholic drinks and snacks available throughout most of the day and the mealtimes are simply exceptional. The evening meal always consisted of a sashimi boat, steamed food buffet and main meal. The tajima beef is the standard main meal, but since we stayed for 5 nights, the chef varied our main meal each day. The hotel even brought in specialised chefs to cook meals for me and my husband, which gave us the opportunity to experience exceptional Japanese dishes which we have never tried before. Breakfast and afternoon tea likewise varied throughout our stay. It is clear that the staff are always thinking of how to make the guests as comfortable as possible and as a result the whole experience is absolutely luxurious, relaxing and refreshing.

We enjoyed the traditional style of the accommodation, lounge area upstairs, comfortable bed and facilities we experienced at the property including the private Onsen. The food was fantastic, a 3 course affair with Sashimi, steamed buffet and Beef. Plus a refreshing sorbet. Drinks all included in the stay too, which was great. The spa pass for the town was included which was a bonus and allowed us to explore. The town was stunning and filled with cherry blossoms. They also provided a map of the area and some recommendations to us.
