“Overbooked”
We booked while on the road, on the evening of our stay, but were turned away at the door. Apparently they were overbooked, though obviously they knew this at the time of booking. Late at night we had to find somewhere else. They had emailed us (not very helpful while driving), but hadn't messaged us on booking.com which would have got through to us. Not sure there's more to say, except please don't say you have rooms available when you don't.

“A pleasant stay, friendly staff, and a nice bar.”
The bar made for a nice touch at night. It becomes a café in the morning. Very convenient in both forms.

There was no soap for the shower. Twice we were told we would have some brought to us. Twice we were lied to. I expect way more from Marriott. We were given a credit when I called the manager a few days later when we got home. We will be back to that location out of necessity but you can be sure if our room is not as expected there will be a price to pay for Marriott
