Overview
Located on the main highway between Queenstown and Te Anau/Milford Sound, Kingston Holiday Park offers motel rooms and historic cottages. Motel rooms include a kitchenette with portable cooktops, pans, a microwave and refrigerator, a wall-heater and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms boast a private spa bath. Bed linen, towels and tea/coffee making facilities are provided. All holiday park guests have access to a fully equipped communal kitchen with cooktops, cooking equipment and a pizza oven. There is also a free BBQ area with gas and a communal coin-operated laundry. Local staff can provide information on activities in the region including hiking and cycling trails. Hire of bicycles, golf clubs and tennis rackets is available from reception. Kingston Holiday Park is opposite the Kingston Cafe and Bar and just 1.2 km from Kingston Golf Course (9 holes). Lake Wakatipu is 500 m away. Queenstown International Airport and The Remarkables Ski Field’s entrance are less than a 30-minute drive from the property.

Stayed in a cabin. Was probably the most expensive accomodation we had in NZ, maybe because of location. But well worth the money, beds were big and comfortable, all clean and looked refurbished/new, including kitchen. Petrol station in Kinston got cheaper prices than in QT. Good base for Milford Sound one day trip. Close to the lake, nice to walk around. Do Shirtail lookout if you have time.

“Peacefully chill, happy to return!”
The mountain views was amazing. The lake within walking distance. Being that little bit out of town, it was away from the bussle, perfect for relaxing but close enough to experience Queenstown sights and offers. Amenities were clean, up to date, & we enjoyed having a pizza oven. A little stream beside our cabin, just added to the charm

“A good place to stay.”
My first time staying at a place like this and i can say I wasn't disappointed. Had everything one needs. Clear instructions of expectations of their guests. Handy information booklet was also provided. We booked here as we did the Kingston Flyer train ride. Shower was nice, had good water pressure. The shared facilities is pretty cool, got to know some random people. Has a smart Tv, electric blanket. Quite cosy.
