“Old Town Feel”
The staff is friendly and went out of their way to help us whenever we needed assistance. The place is very clean and our stay was comfortable. The whole old Town Feel about the place is great and the fact that the Big Hole is literally a 100 meters away is such a cherished experience.

“Magical experience with kids!”
What a magical spot! One is instantly transported back in time, to a time of elegance in amongst an old world mining town. It’s a unique experience, and is particularly recommended if travelling with kids. When staying at New Rush your accommodation is part of the Big Hole compound area. Roaming around freely and safely in the old mine town compound was a great way for our kids to explore and to get rid of the wiggles on our journey. No traffic, quiet, safe and beautiful.

“Lovely old fahioned styled accommodation within museum perimeter”
The location was amazing, within the open air mining museum of Kimberley. The Big Hole and museum itself is on your doorstep. After closing hours you can still browse the little streets. The accommodation itself is a nice reflection of the old days. Parking is free at the property and safely within the museum grounds.

It was nice staying in the “old town” and window browsing through all the shops with antique fare to Occidental bar after doing the Big Hole visitor centre tour. We arrived after the check in office closed, and the keys were with the gate security. Roofed parking was safe. Room 1 was large and comfortable.

“Excellent overnight stay”
Highly recommend this place, especially if you are planning a visit to the Big Hole. This place makes the experience just so much better. The place is clean and safe, the beds were comfy and the room had all we needed for a memorable stay. The on-site restaurant, with great food was an added bonus. The staff is professional and helpful.

Perfect location to discover the big hole and a step back into a bygone time . The precinct is safe with 24 hour guards. Ideal for a night of fun with kids.

“Memorable Big Hole stay”
The rooms had character and were very big and comfortable. Great location, staying in die old town was an experience! Loved walking through after having dinner. Would definitely recommend

“Great stay over”
Great place for a quick stopover, spacious room and enough space to move around even though there are 4 sleeping space (1 Dbl bed and 2 Sngl beds) in the room. Close proximity to Kimberly gate and shops.

The proximity to the Big hole was great. When you have done a full days driving just to get there, its great to not have to get in the car again to explore the open air museum.

“Suitable for our needs”
The Occidental bar is close with a great atmosphere and like music on a Friday evening. The noise did not bother us in the room. Undercover safe parking. It was easy to arrange for our late arrival and the gate was opened promptly by security. Easy to check in and out and good communication for arrival arrangements. The bed was comfortable.
