Perfect setting for a group of friends or a family who can share sleeping quarters, and want to have joint communal space to be in together for cooking, eating, socializing and hanging out, including bathing sauna. Everything is self-service, from check-in to check-out, including cleaning, bringing your own linen or sleeping bag, towels and food. People had left behind some essentials in the cabinets, like coffee. Well eqipped with devices and cleaning supplies, kitchen wear etc. Nearby visitor center as neighbour offers lunch and other services. Best part for hikers is the central location to hiking trails and the boat transportation to.Sweden/Finland/Norway borderpoint.

“Stinking stinkity stink!”
The „Chalet“ stinks like there is a dead rat in there. The host knows and lies to the customer. Supposedly it‘s old trash from former customers but that’s not the cause. We aired the „Chalet“ it didn‘t go away. All over very dusty too. It’s a tourist scam. It shouldn‘t be on booking.com.

We really enjoyed the villa as it offered everything we may have needed. Had a lot of space and storage for us and our things. Kitchen was well equipped, parking right outside the door, very quiet and calm area. Close enough to walk to the store, walking tracks ec, (even though car might be to recomend) It's a code for the door which makes arrival extremely easy as you don't need a set time. I would book again if I find myself in Kilpisjärvi again.
