Overview
Stretched along 7.6 km of private beach, Resorts World Kijal is located in East Terengganu. It boasts a beautiful 18-hole golf course. It also has a large outdoor pool. Resorts World is a 30-minute drive from Cherating, East Coast. Driving from Kuala Lumpur to the hotel will take 3 hours. For guests who drive, parking is provided for free. Air-conditioned guestrooms at Kijal also feature a ceiling fan and a private bathroom. Cable/satellite TV and a minibar can be enjoyed in all rooms. Select rooms overlook the sea. Guests may exercise at the fitness centre or sweat it out on the tennis courts. Restoran Kampong Meraga Beris serves a selection of local specialities. Windows Steak House serves Western and Eastern food, while Little Canton serves a la carte Cantonese dishes. 1)Restoran Kampong Meraga Beris serves for buffet breakfast ( 7am to 10.30am ), 2)Hainan Express (11am to 11pm) A la carte local delicacies, non-alcoholic cocktails, special coffee, tea and light snacks. 3)Oasis Beach Bistro (4pm to 11pm ) A la carte serves western food.

We had a wonderful family stay at this beautiful, luxurious heritage property. The hotel boasts a charming, classic architectural style and is incredibly family-friendly. Our kids loved the pool, which is safely monitored by professional lifeguards. We also enjoyed dining at the onsite restaurant; while the food was excellent, we would have loved to see a wider variety of local dishes on the buffet menu.

The hotel has its own private beach. Overall clean and staff are generally helpful. The equipment in the room was outdated - I was not able to use the iron and the fridge was not cold enough for me to store fruits.

The water coming out from the tap/shower was rusty, which is quite concerning. On top of that, we had to wait quite a long time before the water cleared enough to use. This made it inconvenient, especially when you just want a quick shower after a long day. The management should really look into the water system maintenance, as this affects basic comfort and hygiene.
