Loved the design of the property, friendly staff, and particularly good WiFi in the middle of nowhere. The "nature drive" was excellent as well and would strongly recommend it.

The room was very nice. Loved the sundowner area! Comfortable bed.

Absolutely beautiful property in a beautiful setting. The common areas were luxurious and comfortable, the pool was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive. A scenic and easy drive to see the Twyfelfontein Elephants.

The tent was small but as described and fully functional. The restaurant was fabulous, and the sun downer spot was incredible. Very close to the rock carvings.

I loved this lodge. It was in a beautiful location. There was nothing we didn't have or there was nothing that had not been thought of to ensure maximum comfort for guests. We had a Standard tent that had everything we needed. It was really of very high standard. Breakfast and dinner were included. All food was of high quality with lots of choice. There were lots of little additions that made the stay an exceptionally pleasant one. Sunset up on the rocks there were nibbles (on the house) a basketful of different treats and obviously a drink if wanted. We went on the morning safari in look out for desert adapted elephants. The guide was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and knew exactly were to go to see the elephants.

Our stay was amazing, beautiful location, great food and the pool was a welcome relief from the heat. The rooms were well appointed and stylish. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to accommodate the dietaries requirements of our party. Highly recommended.

“Great but the pool area needs sorting out!”

Fantastic place. We stayed in the superior tent which is beautifully decorated and really spacious. Unlike other reviewers we thought the food was excellent - three types of delicious meat on braai and a couple of high quality side dishes and salads. Admittedly not a massive buffet like your all inclusive resorts catering to 100s of people, but entirely appropriate for a boutique place. Entirely clean and safe, and lovely staff.

The camp provides an oasis in an extraordinary arid landscape. The lodge do a great job making you welcome and looking after you. Morning or sundowner from up on rocks behind the camp offer magnificent views across the rusty red rocky terrain....and on one occasion a lucky glimpse of desert adapted family of elephants crossing the valley floor.

“Desert joy”

Really great to return to Twyfelfontein and what's more, we will be back again (and again)! Last visit we were in a standard tent, this time we had a deluxe tent, which had far more room and was an absolute pleasure. The camp is well laid out, with tents sufficiently far apart to ensure privacy. With no apparent external power sockets for in-vehicle fridge charging, we ran an extension from inside the tent, then after having been for a sundowner, returned to find proper extension had been provided plugged in behind the tent, great attention to small details. Food was great, fresh selection braai'd as you liked it each evening, great breakfast options, served by jolly, happy staff, signing and humming while they worked. Sundowners are served atop the koppie behind the camp, giving you great vistas across the desert landscape while you sipped an ice-cold refreshment from the mountain-top bar and watched the sun go down, enjoying complementary snacks.

Everything about the Twyfelfontein was amazing. We’ve stayed in the premium tent and it’s definitely worth the price. The tent was super clean, bed comfortable and the shower powerful. Tea and coffee facilities were also in the room. Beautiful setting with great views, especially at the top of the rocks for sunset watching while having a few drinks. Staff was very kind, friendly and welcoming.

“Perfect Desert Retreat”

Exceptional tent in the desert. We stayed in the luxury tent and it sure was luxury. The location is perfect for the local.sites but also just sitting on veranda and looking across the desert. Staff were friendly. Breakfast and dinner both buffet style and the food was pretty good. Pool was welcome. Highly Recommended.

A really beautiful place and in such a stunning location, especially at dawn and dusk. The rooms were great (worth the extra to upgrade if you can) and service excellent all through. The pool was a welcome highlight and the short hike up the rocks behind the camp for sundowners was 100% perfect!
