“We had a wonderful stay but the location is not the best depending on your goals.”

Some of the staff were at times either not friendly enough or some we overly friendly. I loved the lodge but there were a lot of ants around. Even in the room, like on the desk. The staff was aware and often cleaned surfaces. The kitchen and buffet staff did a wonderful job. The food was very, very good.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the lodge. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a modern touch and are very comfortable. We especially appreciated the ceiling fans, which made the stay even more pleasant. The dinner was excellent, with a nice selection of dishes, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The bathroom design is stylish, but the shower may not suit everyone. It is quite open, without much privacy, and there is also a window facing the bush, which can feel a bit exposed. Overall, a lovely stay with great food and beautiful, modern rooms.

Everything. This place is heaven. By far the best place we have stayed in Namibia. Better than a 5* hotel we stayed in.

The setting of the pool and relaxing areas is lovely. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The evening Geology and Gin walk, guided by Hermanus, was a highlight. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The dramatic and constantly changing landscape around is fascinating.

Spacious room with nature view, well equipped, good fridge and shower. Mosquito net around the bed was superb. The lodge had excellent buffet food with fresh bbq. Pool was very nice and relaxing. It is managed by the same group as Olive Grove in Windhoek, yet the lodge is much larger.

Had a wonderful stay. The room was exceptional, with a great patio view and the staff's hospitality was top-notch.

I rated this 10/10 because this place really wowed us. This was the most expensive place we stayed on our trip, but it was worth the money for a short stay in my opinion. For longer, it will get expensive. The staff is so well trained and attentive and friendly, especially compared to other lodges we stayed at. The buffet meals were top notch. The views are stunning. The pool, bar and restaurant areas are wonderful. The room we stayed in feels brand new and is very well put together. We went to Toshari (another lodge in the Quiver and Co group 2 hours away) which was not nearly as nice as this. So if you are choosing between the two, choose Damaraland despite the increased price. The only thing that makes Toshari better is that it is close to Etosha.

“Amazing Lodge with Amazing Staff”

What a lovely stay. The staff at this lodge is amazing from the manager, reception , Bar, waiters and servers /chefs all amazing. This is a perfect stay for a night or longer if you want to experience all the tourist attractions around. I would highly recommend this lodge.

The breakfast and dinner were great! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the country. There are a few tours that can be booked from the lodge... There are good massages here.

So well designed and elegant. Great food. We loved the elephants game drive at Twyfelfontein park. We had an issue with our toilet, that was making a recurrent loud noise and wouldn’t let me sleep but the staff managed to fix it overnight; very kind!

Everything. The rooms were great and the common areas and restaurant were beautiful.

Both the tours that we did (the Gin & Geology and the Desert Elephant Drive) were excellent with very knowledgeable guides.
