“Very nice and absolutely heartwarming family”
It was an extremly remote and idyllic place with such a heart warming guest family. We were welcomed with coffee, home made limonade and halva, sweets and fruits. They recommed a hiking trail and the hostfathet also brought us back to the mashrutka place (not far but extremely deep). The room was simple and comfortable with a bath to share. And we loved the dinner and breakfast and the wine!!! It is a very remote place but worth staying there - better for 2 days. We arrived in the afternoon and left next morning and had to little time to explore everything and just to hang around.

“Absolutely lovely people”
Wonderful and helpful hosts, incredible food, and lots to do in the area. If you visit the area, go and see the waterfalls, the local museum and the stone bridge. Wine tasting at the bottom of the hill from the property.

“Extraordinary stay, highly recommended”
This was my favourite stay in all of Georgia. You are really made to feel welcome here as if you are a part of the family. The Khinkiladze family are exceptionally friendly, warm, generous hosts. The hostess, Fati, is an excellent cook and will treat you to amazing and copious homecooked meals (the best I've had in Georgia), consisting of many delicious dishes and way more than you can eat. Her husband is a park ranger of 40 years' experience (I found out through google he is actually the subject of a short documentary film, “40 Years Protecting Georgian Wildlife - "Guardian of Machakhela”) and will be able to advise you on the best walking routes in the area. If you’re lucky, you will get a lift in their Jeep too! Unesco-protected Machakhela park itself is stunning, even in bad weather, and perfect for hiking. The last 500 metres or so of road to the guesthouse was bad when I was visiting there (repair works are going on) and my Gotrip driver could not continue, but not to worry, the family will pick you up in their Jeep. Most of the communication went through Google translate, this turned out to work just fine. The room is basic but clean, with everything you need and a bathroom with a strong hot shower just outside. I highly, highly recommend staying here if you are a nature lover and you'd like a taste of the real Georgia, in this case, the real mountain Adjara. I am already planning to return here the next time I am in Georgia.

The breakfast was awesome. Too much even for a big eater. A very nice and friendly family is running the guesthouse. They grow vegetables in their garden and all food is homemade. You can eat delicious and homemade dinner for a little extra money. The room and the bathroom is clean and I had a very good sleep. I really recommend this guesthouse.

The owners are charming and welcoming. Gives a feeling of home. Abundant meals from products and vegetables they prepare or grow themselves. The place is simple but feels very homey. It is located right at the top of the mountain so there is a serious climb but the view is amazing and worth it.

“Excellent base for exploring the rain forest”
Very friendly family. The guest house is an excellent gateway for many little hikes in the rain forest, and sight-seeing (waterfalls, Tamar bridges, fortresses, etc.). Great breakfast (included) and excellent dinner (25 Lari per person), both in the beautiful porch, both including many vegan and vegetarian dishes.

If you are looking for a place to unwind for a few days and experience Georgian hospitality in all its beauty, then this guesthouse is the perfect fit! The hosts Pati and Durali (and their family) are extremely lovely and caring people and will make sure you have the absolute best time there. The beds are comfortable, it is quiet at night (unless the coyotes howl ;)), and the food they serve is just delicious! The price (food is extra) is also very reasonable. All in all a small idyllic place in a lesser visited part of Georgia, I highly recommend!
