Overview
Located just 2 minutes’ walk from the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, this adult-only inn features free parking and a shared outdoor swimming pool. Free Wi-Fi is also available. A microwave, refrigerator and coffee-making facilities come standard in each room at Douglas House. Guests rooms also include a cable TV. A tropical garden and access to sun terraces can help guests enjoy the Florida scenery. Luggage storage, vending machines and non-smoking rooms are also available. As with most historical properties in Key West we do not have elevators, second floor rooms are accessed using stairs. The southernmost point of the United States is just 5 minutes’ walk from Douglas House inn. Guests will also be just 0.5 km from Key West Lighthouse and Keeper’s Quarters Museum.

The apartment was absolutely incredible — truly the best place I have ever stayed in the world. It was so cozy, spotless, and beautifully spacious. The rooms felt like stepping into a castle, almost like I had entered a fairytale — something between Alice in Wonderland and a dream. The large balconies were stunning and made the whole stay even more special. Everything felt peaceful, elegant, and very comfortable. I also had my birthday during my stay, and it made the experience even more memorable. I truly felt so happy and grateful to be there. I will definitely come back again, and I can confidently say this is the best place I have ever stayed. I highly recommend it to everyone — it’s an unforgettable experience.

“Avoid this hotel! You may be placed in another building, with much lower standard (on my photos)”
BEWARE - in our case, we were accommodated in a building, having nothing to do with the hotel: different address and different owner (as per clear marking on the building), lower standard. I strongly recommend avoiding this property.

A small adults-only hotel near the Southernmost Point. There's great free coffee by the pool all day long.

“Lovely property, nice pool area and great location”
The room was clean and comfortable, the pool area although small was really lovely. Free fresh coffee and water on demand. Location was very good. We really liked this property and would certainly consider it for when we return to Key West.

“I’d stay here again because it’s so central.”
Excellent location. Everything is accessible by foot. The “most southern point“ is literally five minutes walk away as are restaurant and bars.

“A good place to stay.”
A Spacious and comfortable duplex apartment, that’s light and airy. Well appointed kitchen, two balcony’s, two toilets. Off street parking. Although pretty much on Duval street, it’s still quiet.
