This is totally self catering but has everything you need, it is very peaceful and you have a perfect view of the Sunset, we would definitely recommend you visit.

“Over-priced and unfriendly staff”

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at this over-priced and unfriendly “resort”. Firstly, it is not a resort, it is a selection of tiny cottages, chargeable laundry facilities and some sun loungers and hammocks. Secondly, the hotel states it doesn’t allow children. However, they had no issues with children running around during the night and during the day from a nearby villa. Additionally, on our arrival we asked if we could have a late check out as our flight was at 9pm. We were told yes that’s no problem as they had no bookings for our cottage until the day after we were leaving. However, the most unfriendly and unhelpful member of staff told us at 12.50pm we had to vacate the cottage by 1pm as they had taken a booking. Had we been made aware we could have planned our day differently, but to be given 10 minutes notice to leave was totally unacceptable. The staff member had no interest in our well-being, only in their own profiteering. Would I recommend this hotel? Certainly not, there’s much nicer resorts in the area with more amicable staff who are interested in making sure your holiday is a pleasant one. One final point, there’s nobody on-site after 6pm and they don’t respond to any emails if you require assistance, just like we did when there were lizards in the room which additionally has an unbearable eggy smell.

“Lovely resort, lovely cottages & lovely staff!!”

This property is exceptional!!! It’s a small Resort of 10 units situated in a bay with a beach and dock. Long boards and canoes available for use free of charge. Comfortable sunbeds with umbrellas to sunbathe and other seated areas - just to chill!! Rooms are compact but so well equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean! Cooking facilities, coffee machine & coffee supplies, beautiful toiletries, towels replaced daily, beach towels - all in your cottage and if you need more you only have to ask!!! Staff are just lovely and want to make your stay as wonderful as possible - so friendly! This resort has been well thought out, it’s a beautiful location, quiet & peaceful - a little slice of paradise! We had a fabulous stay here and will come back again!! Thank you to Island Bay Team for making our stay so special!

“The best resort we have ever been to.”

This property exceeded every expectation we could have possibly of had. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful with every little detail so well kept. Sue and Steve, the managers, go above and beyond for you in every way they can. The cottage we stayed in was incredible, from the comfort of the bed to the decor of the cottage. This place thinks of the smallest details. During our stay my boyfriend proposed to me on the private beach of the resort and Sue and Steve went above and beyond to even accommodate the proposal and make it incredibly magical for us. Even to the detail of phoning a dinner restaurant for us.

Very homely cottage with great attention to detail. Loved the facilities down at the beach. We took up the opportunity to use the complimentary Kayaks to explore. The garden planting is beautiful and so relaxing to chill in.

Absolutely lovely. A little paradise made even better when the hosts cooked a thanksgiving meal for us all. So unexpected and greatly appreciated.

A true little paradise kept in immaculate condition by our hosts Steve and Sue who were terrific and extremely helpful. Great kayaking and swimming and saw baby nursing sharks and barracuda and lots of other fish off the pier.Extremely peaceful place although maybe quieter than peak season as went in October . Lovely Italian within a few hundred metres if you don’t want to self cater and plenty of other good options nearby . Snorkling on the reef 6 miles offshore via John Pennekamp reserve well worth a trip .

“Great stay”

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a road trip and it was exactly what was needed. We stayed in cottage number 1 which was beautiful. It had lovely views and great facilities. Everywhere was spotless and the staff were very friendly. A special mention for Pat who welcomed us to the property who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The owner helped us out with printing our boarding passes as we were having trouble downloading them which was very kind too. If we were ever in the Keys again we would definitely stay over.

A small paradise! We stayed for two nights in this beautiful place. Loved the peaceful surrounding, the patio and the very cosy apartment. Would really like to come back some day and stay longer !
