Overview
Opening in July 2014, Hotel Route-Inn Kesennuma is located a 5-minute taxi ride from Matsuiwa Train Station and a 15-minute drive from JR Kesennuma Train Station. Free WiFi is available at all air-conditioned guest rooms. Simply decorated rooms feature earth-tone colours, and come equipped with a flat-screen TV with VOD (video on demand), an electric kettle and a tea set. Towels and a hairdryer are provided for guests’ convenience. Some rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and a bath. A coin launderette, vending machines and soothing massages are available on site. Irons, humidifiers, trouser presses and desk lamps can be borrowed at the 24-hour front desk. Guests can also soak in the public bath to unwind. At Restaurant Hanachaya, a breakfast buffet featuring a mixture of Japanese and western dishes is served. Kesennuma Route-Inn Hotel is located a 60-minute drive from Ishinomaki City, and a 15-minute drive from Iwaisaki.

“A dripping AC led to loss of sleep and exhaustion…”
Ms. Abe at the front desk sincerely apologized, over the phone and in writing, for the air conditioning problem. Also, she returned my bicycle gloves to me free of charge and expressed interest in my bicycle trip. The public bath was very good. Breakfast was good.

“It’s a bonus to have onsen bath after long travel.”
Though the location is a bit far away, the Onsen bath is good to take a break. The breakfast is good also.

Well located on the Kesennuma bypass so easy to access from route E45, really helpful staff and exceptionally well equipped for the price paid. Surprisingly excellent evening meals.
