Built of local stone and wood, Oikoperiigitis Hotel is set amidst lush greenery within 500 metres from Lake Kerkini in Serres. I didn't notice the design of the room while making reservation and was surprised with the declaration when we arrived. Don't have words to express how much our kids enjoyed the bed under the roof. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were helpful and willing to answer any questions

“Traditional building with good food and great base for exploring”
Traditional building and a great base for exploring Kerkini Lake. They organise boat trips and buffalo safaris. Everyone is so helpful. The food is home cooked, some in the brick oven, and is excellent as is the breakfast. English spoken. The room was big and light with a wonderful wooden floor. Fridge and aircon. Car is necessary. Parking outside. The storks nests in town were amazing. This is a quiet rural town with cafes and 1 or 2 other restaurants.

“Quirky hotel in a perfect location for bird watching. loved it!”
the location was great for the lake. the hotel organised a wonderful boat trip for us and the bird life we saw was delightful. Breakfast was super especially the buffalo yoghurt. we had 2 tasty dinners there too. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

“Silense nature leasure”
The place is located close to the lake, and you can walk to it. Breakfast was amazing, included greek pasteries. We loves the place for it’s nature, it has view to mountain. Host was pleasand and friendly.

“Special experience”
Location is great and the personnel is very kind, we were treated like kings and queens, so sweet. Hotel is run by a family. Kerkini region is not touristic at all and feels a little abandoned. This makes it special, but you got to love it, some people need crowded places. The nature here is beautiful. We did a boat ride with the owner and his son + girlfriend at sunrise which was really very nice. Our stay made a memorable impression.
