“Peaceful beautiful riverside sanctuary”

Lovely view and location within the estate is ideal. Nice showers, comfortable beds. best place to be is on the deck watching the river and bush for birds. the Nyala the next morning was a nice surprise. 2 rooms leading to the same deck worked well for us this time.

We had an excellent stay at the River Cottage. Fantastic views of the river, with Impala nearby giving you a touch of the wild at the same time. About 10 minutes drive from Kenton on Sea. We will be back - next time a slower itinerary to spend more time at the property itself 😁 There was a power outage one day of the stay, however emergency lighting and a gas stove was made available to us to assist. The host was very accommodating to our needs.

The location was magnificent. Beautiful view of the river. Tranquil and a superb holiday destination.

Bathroom floor dangerous as it was very slippery Cottages need to be seperated. Each with own entrance and stoep. Lucky for as the Cottage next door was empty. If there were other guest next door, i would have left. Direct path way / acces to river for fising should be available. You dont want to leave once you arrive looking for places for relaxation or for any other unnecessary trips. There also was some one with a drone invading your privacy.

We enjoyed the beautiful views, the privacy and found staff to be helpful. The estate is is absolutely stunning, a little far out but really nice.
