Overview
Situated in the Kariega Game Reserve Main Lodge, 14 km from Kenton-on-Sea, this family-owned and private game reserve features an outdoor pool, restaurant and bar. Free WiFi is available. The spacious, air-conditioned chalets feature a private viewing deck offering views of the valley and bush. Each chalet has a lounge area, fireplace and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The private bathrooms include either a shower or bath and free toiletries are provided. At Kariega Game Reserve Main Lodge breakfast, lunch and dinner is included and beverages are available at a charge. There are 2 game drives daily that are included and other activities range from river cruises, walking safaris and canoeing. The lodge features a spa and wellness centre, treatments can be arranged upon request. Port Elizabeth International Airport is 133 km away.

“Packs a punch for the price”
Staff extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable. We saw a lot of animals in only two game drives including rhino, a huge herd of elephants with babies, lions and more.

Guide for max. 2 guest-chalets. Very environmentally friendly set-up. Good explanations at reception. Plenty of animals seen! very well equipped Chalets. Great food! Nice bar area with stunning view.

food was excellent.safaris were excellent.no Wi-Fi in lodges which is a bit poor.lodge was too far to walk in heat.lodges were dated but satisfactory.bed very comfy.

The Kariega Game Reserve is just a lovely place. The staff is nice and helpful. The drives to the Reserve are well timed, perfectly guided, the pool is beautiful and the food amazing. We saw a lot of animals. Looking forward to visit Kariega Game Reserve again.

“Experience of a lifetime!”
Experience of a lifetime! Highly recommend - Our guide Matthews was great. He made sure everyone saw the animals they wanted (we saw lions (including cubs), rhino's, hippo's, cheetahs, giraffes, etc. etc.) to and the resort-like set up (all meals included, all game drives included) was incredible.

“3-day safari experience exceeded expectations.”
I cannot praise the wonderful team of staff at Kareiga highly enough. Our safari guide Amber was absolutely wonderful, her attitude, enthusiasm and knowledge helped make our safari experience perfect. We saw far more animals than we ever expected, including the big 5, all healthy and roaming free in their natural habitat. The property, food and facilities are not luxury 5* but we did not go for this. We went for a safari and this 3-day experience exceeded expectations.
