Only complain is it needs an update! Especially for the cost.

“Worst Hilton Garden Ever”

Possibly the worst Hilton Garden that we have ever stayed in. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready--no problems, we planned on grabbing an Uber to Bourbon St anyway. Staff took our phone number and told us they would call us when the room was ready--we came back about 4 hours later--never got a phone call. took our stuff to the room and then decided to run and get some drinks for the evening. Room was warm, so we turned the A/C down low and left. Turns out the A/C was out in that room--so we got moved to a smaller room, even through we had already paid for the larger room. We were told that a manager would be there the next morning to correct the issue. The next morning we go down and asked about speaking to the manger--who now isn't going to be there until late that afternoon. So frustrated there. We then asked about breakfast (that we had already paid for) and was told that it was only grab n go. We got one, just to see what was offered---when I say I've had better grab n go breakfast from $70 a night budget hotels, I'm not kidding. It was just bad. we gathered out stuff to go grab McDonalds. As we were leaving, the receptionist, who originally told us that breakfast was grab n go, tells us as we are checking out that there is made to order cooked breakfast. Breakfast was confusing--it wasn't made to order breakfast, rather just made to order eggs. Worst cooked bacon we've ever had, and somewhat blah breakfast overall. Honestly, we were just glad to get out of there and board our cruise ship so we could get lunch.

The hotel was dirty. The ceiling in my room was falling in. The website said there was a shuttle to the airport but it was not working and they said it had not been in service since the hurricane (website should say this).

Location was great for us to visit family in Metairie.

The receptionist greeted me kindly and checked me in without any problems. When I proceeded to my room, my first impression was mediocre. Although it appears clean at first glance, I inspected the room more. No infestation. Safe area.

The room size was perfect. The personel was very kind. The lobby was beautiful.
