Mr Hassan and Mr Ali was most welcoming and super nice individuals with positive and good spirits 🥰the rooms are well nice and well contained. There is a generator when electricity goes off, the breakfast is nice overall enjoyed y stay. They let me have my suitcases staying there while I travelled to mainland for some weeks and they found another accommodation for me and my husband when they were occupied super safe place and I would love to stay with them again mostly because of their sweet personalities.

Hotel is great, very good location, the beach is just 5min walk and all the shops are nearby. Staff is awesome, super friendly and helpful with everything you need! Breakfast was nice and tasty, with a lot of fresh fruit always! The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great stay, really felt like at home there for 2 weeks!

The staff was incredibly helpful as we had a early horsebackriding. So I asked if it was possible to keep some fruit as breakfast on the side before/ after breakfast time.

I liked that the food was Halaal and there was the option of having meals cooked on site. Their staff member Ali, was probably the best thing about the place as he was so helpful. It had a fan and aircon and wifi, but this was subject to whether they had electricity or not.

oohh my word the two old men are outstanding hosts. very friendly, helpful and caring. my aunt got hurt and Ali rushed to the pharmacy to get her plasters and even bought us avocado when we requested it. our room was clean and very nice

Great location, the room was very good (best shower I had in Tanzania after a month), the breakfast was amazing and above all: the staff was very nice and helpful. If you book here, you are in very good hands.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kendwa Cool & Calm Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and well taken care of. The owner was very kind, always available, and ready to help with anything we needed. He’s also a great businessman who clearly cares about the guest experience and continues to invest in the hotel, constantly introducing improvements and new features. Each morning started with a royal breakfast that included delicious, fresh fruit – a real treat! The staff were all very friendly, and the waiter created a cheerful atmosphere with his kindness and great sense of humor. His warm attitude made a big difference. The room was always well cleaned, with hot water, a working air conditioner, and a fan, which made our stay very comfortable. Special compliments to the chef – the dinners were outstanding! We tried several restaurants in the area, but the food at the hotel was definitely among the best we had. Every meal was full of flavor and clearly made with care. We truly felt at home during our stay and would absolutely recommend Kendwa Cool & Calm Hotel to anyone visiting the area. It's the perfect mix of comfort, great hospitality, and amazing food. We’d love to come back!

The location

A small hostel for a short stay and with smiling staff. Room was clean, AC was working good also some tea and coffee in the room. some restaurants around and small shops. About 7-10 minutes walk distance to the beach.

Very nice little Hotel in Kendwa. Great, clean and spacious room. Good AC. Large Breakfast with Juice, Fruit, Coffee, Tea, Bread and Eggs made to order. The staff are very friendly and fun. Close to the beach and very close to a good selection of restaurants. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Highly recommend.

“Relaxing, enjoyable, memorable”

Clean, very friendly staff, five minutes walk to Kendwa beach, delicious breakfast, and amazing dinner. Juma is an excellent chef. Hassan (the owner) is always there to help, in case you need anything. Ali will make your day, always cheerful 😀. If you are looking for a budget accomodation in Zanzibar, this is definitely the place. Will definitely come back again.
