“Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Staff and Great Dinners”

My stay at Carletto Style was amazing! It’s a small hotel with spacious, spotless cabins and lovely porches surrounded by greenery. The staff were warm and welcoming — Dada and Stephen really made me feel at home. Breakfasts were tasty, but the real highlight was Dada’s dinners, with delicious local and Italian dishes at great prices. The location is perfect too: peaceful, just a short walk from the beach, and far from the busy resorts. Highly recommend

Great hosts and a tranquil terrace. Carlo and Stephen have been very accomodating. Located in an authentic part of Kendwa.

Clean on arrival, welcoming and helpful staff. Peace, nobody bother you from neighbors, every house on own peace, beach 12min walk, relax time, good vibes and restaurant where u can order a lot..

“Relaxing place close to the beach”

We loved our stay in Kendwa Carletto Style. The bungalow was clean and spacious with a nice patio for relaxing with a book. The staff are really helpful and added little details to make our stay extra special. It was nice to get a feel for the locality on the short walk to the beach. At low tide you can walk over and back between Kendwa and Nungwi. If the tide comes in you can take a short taxi ride or water taxi. There is a really nice Italian restaurant with delicious cocktails on Nungwi beach. Can't remember the name but it's up some wooden steps, right beside the Mama Mia ice cream parlour(not the one at Kendwa Rocks)

Kendwa Rasta style is completely relaxing place. Jay is super nice and really helpful with info and for small talk. There is 10 minutes to the beach, but the place is so nice so walking a bit is not a problem :)

Lovely Rasta Bungalows, very friendly environment, Nice garden and places to chill. Big room with A/C, bar and kitchen ready for you any time. Staff was exceptional. Cool Italian Rasta owner (loved the bruscetty and italian pasta!), ladies in the kitchen prepare delicious food, Jay at the reception made us feel like at home ❤️ We really enjoyed our stay here thanks to them. Adorable cat :-)

“Nice and relaxed. Hakuna matata!”

We stayed here for 2 nights. If you like to stay outside the hussle and bussle of Kendwa beach you have to come here! You have to walk down the village to get to the beach. This is a nice walk because almost every villager is greeting you and you can see a bit of African life. If you stay at a accomodation at the beach you probably are not even aware that you’re in Africa… As for the room: it is clean and it has a nice shower and the temperature is good because of the AC and fan. The AC fell out once in a while, but we were not bordered because the fan still worked. The breakfast is the best we have had in Zanzibar! And last but not least: the people who work there are so nice, helpful and interested in their guests. It really was a nice place!!

Kendwa Rasta Style is amazing! You stay in lovely bungalows that make you feel instantly in paradise. It’s a very relaxing and quiet place. It was clean and the staff was a 10/10. We will be coming back!

It’s not the first time I’m using this lodge! It’s really close to the beach, the staff is nice, specially the receptionist Jay. I will definitely go back again as soon as I’m in Kendwa!

We booked kendwa Rasta style because comments seemed to be ok. The Place is nice and peaceful. However, we where not lucky and had many issues. We had to come out 3 times during the showers to tell them that there was no water. Then the AC and fan was not working properly in the room so it was very hot in the room. After asking for a solution they offered us another room that the AC should have worked properly. The fan worked better, however AC stopped working at 23:00 at night. Breakfast was quite pathetic, one mini sandwich with a peace of omelette, one bread with Nutella, one bread with some jam. Three slices of fruit that seemed to be cut the day before because they tasted old. Location is not the best, you need to walk about 20 min to the beach. At night the road to the hotel is completely dark with no lights. If you are not looking for adventure, and want to have some relaxed days in kendwa beach , do not book at Kendwa Rasta style. You can find better and nicer hotels to stay on the beach front for the same money. We decided to check out and go to another other after our first night. Unfortunately, the owners didn’t seem to mind us leaving after not offering or accepting any kind of refund.
