“Lovely place to experience Maldivian life”

Lovely little guesthouse on beautiful Kendhoo island. Everything worked well, from speedboat transfer from Male to great excursions. All staff were friendly and helpful. The tourist beach, 5 minutes walk from guesthouse, has an excellent reef - we saw 4 turtles and 1000s of fish. Staying a few days on Kendhoo is a great way to experience Maldivian life.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They met me at ferry and drove me and my bags to the guesthouse to check in, (and back when leaving). Food was excellant. Had to leave early (before breakfast) to catch ferry so they provide sandwiches and fruit box. Snorkling gear is available to use and is free of charge. They set up a Whatsap group chat based on your room number so you can ask any questions and get timely answers.

“Truly relaxing holiday”

We had an excellent 17 nights in Dhoani. Everything was perfect. The guesthouse is very close to the bikini beach and the local shops. About 5 -10 mins walk to each direction. The staffs were extremely helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Hida for looking after us. The manta ray excursion was superb. The snorkelling off the beach was already very good with plenty to see. We saw a few turtles and eagle ray snorkelling in front of the bikini beach. In the lagoon( to the left of bikini beach) we saw lots of moray eels, but you have to be fully dressed to swim in the lagoon.

The Dhoani was absolutely beautiful we ended up staying in the boutique but it was only round the corner the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Hida was very accommodating always helpful if we needed anything, we had a wonderful stay and hopefully one day we will be able to visit again.

Very lovely and beautiful guesthouse only a few minutes away from the bikini beach. Hida and her family are more than friendly and welcoming hosts who make you feel staying at a friend's place. They care about everything and are always more than willing to help. You can do excursions and different activities directly with them. Hida's very friendly staff cooks the most delicious and amazing food. We would love to come back!

“From first doubts to total relaxation – thank you, Hida!”

Hida was the perfect host. She made us feel so welcome, even though we weren’t too happy on the first day. We had expected the island to offer a bit more, but after adjusting to the peace and quiet we had the most relaxing time ever. The guesthouse itself was lovely, very clean, and gave us a real feeling of being at home. We only ate at the guesthouse, as there weren’t any other options. The food was always delicious and the service outstanding. The beds were very comfortable, and the AC in the rooms worked perfectly. We didn’t join any of the excursions, apart from snorkeling along the house reef. For us, it would have been helpful to know that the corner stores accept credit cards and that there is an ATM on the island. There was no need at all to exchange USD into MVR. We can’t thank Hida enough for being so kind, friendly, and open, and for making our 5-day stay as good as possible. Thanks also for the coffee recommendation in Malé – we really loved the coffee!

Hida was great host, she was so nice and helpful. The food was delicious, we really recommend eating at their restaurant cause it was top tier. :) the rooms were nice and cosy, the atmosphere was great. All of her staff was helpful and nice and took care of us really well. The accommodation was close to the beach, the beach is so beautiful, really well equipped (net hammocks and stuff like that)... also they offer great trips for affordable prices. Overall it was great experience. Thank you :)

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Hida and her team were incredibly kind, warm, and attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming from the very first moment, and everything was perfectly taken care of. The snorkeling was also fantastic – there was so much to see on the house reef and around the nearby islands, with plenty of colorful fish and beautiful corals. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

It had everything I needed—comfy rooms, delicious home-cooked meals, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it feel like a true escape. After days full of adventure, coming back to such a cozy space was the perfect way to unwind. Hida and her team were incredible—always smiling, warm, and genuinely attentive. They went out of their way to make my stay extra special and memorable. I felt truly welcomed, like part of the family.. What made this trip even more special was being on a small, local island. It gave me a real taste of Maldivian culture, far from the crowds. Between the stunning beach, the vibrant house reef, and the nearby islands worth exploring, every day was a new adventure. Well organised guesthouse, from pickup at the harbour, daily excursions to serving my favourite breakfast and truly Maldivian dinner. The room was comfy, with fridge, which I really liked.

A fantastic guesthouse, rooms and common areas feels clean and fresh, the service is incredible, the food is excellent and the staff are lovely. I'm vegetarian and was concerned there may not be much I could eat, but I was sent a veggie menu and the kitchen staff are happy to alter meals to taste given enough time. We had a fab stay and hope to return.

Our stay at Dhoani was too short, but we are already planning our return trip. The staff was very welcoming and answered any questions promptly. Instructions on where to find the speedboat were detailed, and we had no difficulty finding the right boat. The food was delicious and well-priced. We visited 3 local islands and the snorkelling excursions taken with Dhonai were superior. The house reef also has much to offer if you are interested in snorkeling. Staff at Dhoani also organised our travel to another local island by private speedboat at a good price which saved us 1-2 days of travel.

All staff were very nice. Everything we agreed on in advance worked. The guesthouse is very trustworthy. It is an inhabited island, so you need to behave accordingly, but the people here are pleasant. There is a nice beach for everyone and also a bikini beach where, unfortunately, the entrance to the water is not ideal, so we rather used the public beach in surf clothes. The guesthouse has the equipment exactly as described, we liked the perfect high quality mattress. The island is not big and neither is the beach, so you need to bring about 100-300 USD extra with you and then you will enjoy really great experiences that they offer. Excursions to the surrounding islands, sandbank, dolphins, etc. are really great and you will enjoy the real Maldives for good price. We were satisfied and would love to come back. Very nice hotel, very clean room and efficient room service. Friendly people at the hotel. The food is really amazing, I have never tasted such delicious food! There are delicious dishes prepared by the best chefs from Sri Lanka. I will really miss these dishes and I will never forget the flavors!🥹🤍 The interten is working very well, the beach is very beautiful and the ocean is deep full of many colorful fishes. We were offered various impressive and fun activities, for example: swimming with whale sharks, fishing, visiting a resort, having lunch on another island. We spent very beautiful and unforgettable days on this island! Good luck and thank you for everything!☀️
