“Little Finnish experience”

Wonderful little place by the lake. Very comfortable beds, nice clean bathroom. Beautiful rooms and pretty buildings. Just stayed for one night, but would have happily stayed longer. Check in went very smoothly. Didn't get to use any of the additional offers (e.g. Sauna, skates,..), but they were there. Breakfast was fresh and plenty. Cold cuts, cheese, bread, eggs, bacon and lots of coffee. Perfect

We enjoyed our stay near the lake. We like the location very much. The room and the apartment were very cozy. The apartment was spacious and comfortable for 4 people.. The house keeper was very nice.

A fantastic place to stay, in my opinion - my room was large and offered everything needed. It was not the bland usual hotel thing but rather it was nicely decorated for a distinct experience. The location right on the lake is wonderful, with views across the water to the north, and a deck for sitting outside if one wants to, during meals or just for pleasure. Overall, this hotel gives the impression that the owners care and want guests to be comfortable, and it is still small enough to not be the usual bland thing of a large hotel, while offering all one could wish for. Downtown is within walking distance.

“Beautiful and calm serounding. Highly recomended”

Its like a little village, quiet and serene area. Room with equip kitchen is a plus, we had yop roomm near the water. It was amazing and wish we had stay longer. Check-in was perfect, we have arrived late, so they put the key in key box. Customer service reply fast during enquiry. Checkout smooth aa well, we just put back key in the box. 'provided we have paid all upfront' Overall, great stay and family friendly. I highly recomended.

Staff amazing maya hope I spelt this right was amazing so very helpful with everything and even did us breakfast earlier than normal as we had an early start amazing lady . Rooms lovely and comfortable and cosy and everything you need . Manager also very helpful and had a great last night with him sampling local food and drink. We'll done.

“A very warm, family-friendly place with an exceptional host.”

Our stay at Hotel Uitonniemi was nothing short of magical! The host, Maija was absolutely exceptional, going far beyond standard service to make our visit unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, and the thoughtful touches throughout our stay made it truly special. One of the highlights was that we could use sleds for our son during the entire stay, which added so much fun to our trip. On the last day, the "Elves" surprised him with a personalized gift, which left him overjoyed and made our family’s experience even more memorable. Breakfast was great with something new each day. Maija even adjusted the breakfast timing to fit our daily plans, which was super helpful. The rooms were warm, clean, and had a lovely wooden finish that made them feel so cozy. Our entire family felt so at home here, and we hope we get a chance to visit this wonderful place again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, family-friendly stay!

The view of the river with the colorful autumn trees was amazing. We saw the northern lights from the hotel courtyard. The hotel staff was willing to help us with anything we needed. I highly recommend it. Nice wood sauna.

Dreamy place and location! Super spot to watch the northern lights, with a beautiful deck at the lake facing north. Manager and Maija did everything for us to feel comfortable (and as hot as possible 😁 ) even while freezing aurora watching! Rooms where great, evening snacks and wine where lovely. I will definitely miss this place!

The breakfast was Ok though quite small variety. Location is good. The reception building is nice and beautiful as well as the terrace by the lake.

Katarina, our host was warm, friendly and helpful. The views of lake Kemijarvi were beautiful, it is easy to feel peaceful here.

We loved everything, and the lakeside setting exceeded our expectations.

The breakfast was exceptional for Finland - hot and cold meats incl smoked reindeer, smoked salmon, and lots of egg dishes, breads, cakes, fresh food (salad/berries/) then berries, various drinks etc. So good. Location was great - on the edge of a small town and easy to access routes out too. On a beautiful lake. And has an amazing sauna you can privately book.

The location is great! Surrounded by the beautiful Lake Kemijärvi. Breakfast is one of the best I have ever had: local fish, berries, and reindeer, among other traditional Finnish delicacies.
