Overview
Situated in central Okanagan Valley, this air-conditioned Kelowna hostel features a large outdoor area with covered patio, and barbecue area. Lake Okanagan beach is 5 minutes’ walk away. Dormitory rooms are available at Samesun Kelowna and provide shared bathroom facilities. Private rooms with en suite bathrooms are offered as well. Guests can relax in the sun tan loungers or on a hammock. Samesun Kelowna also features a game room with billiards and foosball table. A full kitchen is provided at the hostel. Myra-Canyon Ranch is 20 km from the hostel. Summerhill Pyramid Winery is 15 minutes’ drive away and Big White is 1 hours’ drive from the hostel.

“Dust and spider”
The location was definitely good which is why we eneded up booking this place. When we checked in, we were taken by a surprise. The front desk area was definitely nice and clean but the room we got was pathetic. It was full of dust, smell and we also found a spider which we had to crawl out from a window. I am allergic to dust and started to react which is why we decided to leave within couple hours. We ended booking an expensive place on airbnb just because we had to leave this one due to cleanliness issues. We reached out to booking.com customer care team and we were assured of complete support on refund with this booking. However, this experience also didnt go well even after providing pictures and videos of the property. The property declined to refund us and booking.com turned tables saying they couldn't do much but give us a credit for $38.62. We were charged for 1 full day for a bad experience that we had because we trusted in a property that was on booking.com . I am disappointed with not just this property but also the way booking.com handled my concern.

“Probably wouldn’t return unless desperate, but location is good”
For the price you’d expect a bit more cleanliness and room expectation to be a little higher but I guess the location is what you pay for.

I’d like to thank Mark for his great service. He was very informative, polite, and helpful, and he made the check-in process smooth and easy. Really appreciated his attitude and support. The room location was convenient, and the price was excellent. Overall, it offers great value for money.

“Okay for one night”
The property was in great location. It had own parking but it was $10 per night . Staff was very kind and helpful and bed was comfy

“WORST”
The bed was sunken and saggy, the pillow was lumpy with clumped filling. The bath towel had unsightly stains all over it. The windows offered almost no sound insulation, and the traffic noise kept me awake the entire night. The receptionist charged me 10.25 CAD for overnight parking and gave me a parking permit card to hang in the car — yet I noticed no other vehicles had one displayed at all. This has been an absolutely terrible experience. I will never stay here again under any circumstances.

I’ve stayed 5 times now and have always had a good experience, the staff are lovely it’s a good location the check in/check out process is easy it’s always clean and the common areas are good. I’ll always stay with them when I come to Kelowna
