“Okay before a flight, not for longer stays.”
They have an airport shuttle bus running from 4.45am and there are 2 restaurants to choose from, which is great because you don't have to walk into town for dinner. The staff were really nice.

I paied a first time with credit card and they said me it didnt work and cancel the first paiement. They asked me to pay a second time with the same credit card. it looks ok but when I checked my account it look I pay 2 times. It was a reservation for 16 people and the amount is important. I asked them to cancel the 2nd paiement and refund I give them all accounct extract, but they didn't.

“Don't book The Mariott in Reykjavik and do not pay in advanced. They are not honoring your booking but move you into”
Nothing. We are feeling scammed by the Marriott hotel and we are furious. We were told that they are overbooked and moved to a different hotel even so we already paid for the Marriott in full and had booked 6 month in advanced. We are older people and wanted to be close to the airport. The konvin hotel is further away and is an unfinished converted army barrack, nothing fits and nothing is finished properly, we didn't dare using the lift, Kettle falls off the bench due to extension cord hanging in the air, towel rack came off the wall, it is dark like in a cave, the receptionist was asleep behind his desk, warmed up sausages were stone hard, lobby was unfinished and unusable, trash in front if the window with view to car park. A faulty towers place for the price of a Marriott. I will never book a Marriott again.

We booked an airport hotel to have an easy arrival to Iceland traveling with a baby. However, the hotel is not located walking distance from the airport and no transfer is provided by the hotel. Found this disappointing for an 'Airport hotel' and made the arrival more difficult (finding a taxi with carseat) and expensive (about EUR50 for short taxi ride + extra fee for carseat).
