“An amazing authentic African experience at a small community which supports a school for vulnerable children. Authentic,”
It supports the volunteer junior school on site, the pupils are vulnerable and disadvantaged and drawn from local villages. Our stay was an authentic African experience at an affordable price. We stayed in a private hut with beds, sheets, towels and a fan. A shared shower and flush toilet were available. There is wifi and Cynthia the host showed us around the school and cooked us a delicious evening meal which we ate by the camp fire.

Since we booked two nights separately, I already gave a detailed description for the other night we spend there. Here I just want to point out that it was great there and that we enjoyed our stay a lot!

We were a bit skeptical at first, since there weren't many previous reviews about the place, but that was completely unnecessary! The hosts were very welcoming and that being said the place really does serve the community, since it has its own school, giving kids the opportunity to get an education who wouldn't normally be able to get one. Even though we were there during a public holiday, we did see what is done there and were more than happy to contribute with the money paid through our stay. Highly recommend going there! PS: one shouldn't expect the most luxurious stay ever experienced, but having something authentic zambian and like mentioned above something that does good far outweighs that.

“Support the local community by staying in their village”
The owners are very welcoming and very committed to helping their community! They are running a school that provides education, meals and more support to the local children and every penny they earn with their accommodation goes to the local community. The accommodation itself was very nice and clean, located in the owners’ little village. The amenities are simple (pit toilet and bucket shower) but functional and clean. They will heat up some water for your shower if you want. The traditional dinner was delicious!
