“Cozy family-run hotel”

It was very warm, something you could consider a disadvantage anywhere but not here, in Kauto in wintertime :) That was just what we needed after a day of hiking and driving through the cold snowy Finnmark. The owner met us with warmth and kindness, showed us around and gave all instructions. Some especially good things here: - big kitchen/dining room where you’ve got everything to cook a meal + there is always waffle dough and a waffle iron. Big fridge. - everything clean - the location: outside of the town and next to the river - perfect! - a lot of space to park your car And, lastly, we loved a human, personal approach: - you can see that the place is treated with love and you feel that you are really welcome here - very good communication with the owners - very good value for money

The landlady is charming, generous and loves Israel. The kitchen is ample equipped, the shared hospitality space is huge and inviting, and everything is clean and well maintained.

Comfortable beds, very clean, and welcoming hosts. In the morning, we were treated to waffles, juice, and coffee. Pleasant surroundings – there’s a river flowing nearby. A large terrace to relax on after the trip.

We stayed at the Goldin Guesthouse. We really liked the hospitality. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped and beautiful. There was also a large living room with a fireplace. Anna treated us like family. She baked and brought us fresh homemade bread in the morning. And we could always make waffles from the dough she left for us in the fridge. Most importantly, she told us when to expect to see the Northern Lights. Without her, we would not have been able to see it. There is a beautiful lake next to the house and the most fun was seeing the Northern Lights in the middle of the lake surrounded by forest.

Such a warm and so kind welcome from Anne Leila ❤️ I arrived in the night with fog and rain and once at home, you got some hot waffles for welcoming you with all you want in the kitchen, nice and comfy bedroom, large spaces... what to say.. a really good address in Kautokeino and thank you again Anne ! :-)
