Excellent location, parking space for our motorbikes, a sunny terrace, good beds, very nice breakfast and most of all, a very attentive and sympathetic host! He will discuss food & drink, German history, Dutch vs Scotch whisky, best local hikes and undoubtedly lots of other topics.

Very helpful staff in explaining nearby attractions and booking a river trip on our behalf. Excellent restaurant with superb food and good choices. Excellent breakfast with the ability to make your own picnic lunch which we took advantage of each day. Most unexpected and welcome. Room, whilst basic, had all the facilities and very clean.

The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond to look after us, whether it was providing a packed lunch, or a tasty dinner. The rooms were clean and cozy.

Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Clean, comfortable room with a good, powerful shower. Breakfast was fine, cold meat, boiled egg, plenty of bread & cereals. The owner also provides bags so that you can make a packed lunch which is a lovely touch. The location is stunning! Amazing hiking to be had all around, some nice restaurants in the quiet town.

This place is a little gem. The host Edgar was very friendly sharing his travel stories. The food and local wine were wonderful. This is an older style hotel but it is well looked after. If you prefer a quieter place to stay, this is it. Note, there are no lifts (as expected for an older and more authentic style hotel). If it did have lifts, it would spoil this lovely place.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has several perks for hikers (like foot cream as part of the bathroom amenities). Breakfast includes also takeaway bags to pack lunch. Good restaurant included.

The breakfast was quite good and the beds were comfortable, good bedsheets too. We got foot cream in the bathroom, much appreciated after a hike. The rooms are above a restaurant/bar and despite this, they were not too noisy. There's a bakery next doors, it's convenient to get a snack before hiking (we were allowed to pack something from the breakfast, but we wanted something more).
