The whole place is gorgeous! The room was comfortable, well decorated and spacious. Products for hands, body and hair were a great bonus. Simply amazing! Room in a castle, with castle like service, we felt like royals! And a superb breakfast in a dining hall. Plus the views, you are allowed to walk around the hotel yard and look down to the valley. Hotels own wine for sale in bottles, nice extra. This kind of a hotel must be experienced, worth all the money!

“Amazing experience by the Rhine River.”
It was an extraordinary experience. The hotel is an authentic castle, with modern amenities. Very spacious room, great mattress and linens, amazing breakfast. Amazing views of the river, beautiful garden. Honestly, I will definitely come back. Totally worth the ride up there if you come from Stuttgart, Cologne or Frankfurt.

The Location is absolutely gorgeous. The castle and grounds are very well maintained, and we were able to explore and find all kinds of amazing little places behind random doors. Everything was fantastic from the soaps they use, to the sauna to the breakfast. Best breakfast I have ever eaten. They don’t have a lot of rooms so we were lucky to book one and we felt like royalty the whole time. The staff were super friendly and really made the experience unforgettable. I will recommend burg gutenfels to all my friends and family

“Fantastic!!”
This is absolutely the best experience I've ever had. We got to the castle late but manager Alex gave us a very warm welcome, even helped us to park the car to proper parking lot. The castle is amazing, lots to explore and there is beautiful scene at every corner. We cannot stop taking pictures!! The room is equipped with kitchen and a dining table, very convenient. Looking down from the window, Rhein river is just at the bottom of the hill. The view is breathtaking! Breakfast was delicate and delicious! Dining hall is full of vintage atmosphere that makes you feel traveling back hundreds of years by time machine. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. Will definitely come back! Thanks to Alex again!!

Beautiful location, lots of walks around the area, many gardens on the castle grounds, the library, the grand piano, the epic breakfast, the sauna. Really friendly staff. Best Indian takeaway in Germany is there in Kaub! Could not recomment this hotel enough!

Breakfast was excellent--cooked to order and served in majestic surroundings. The castle and grounds are beautiful. The view of the Rhine River Valley is absolutely outstanding.

“Burg Gutenfels surpassed all my expectations. Amazing views, breakfast, sauna, luxurious feels.”
We were walking the Rheinsteig and one of our stops was at Burg Rheinfeld. It surpassed all my expectations. It feels very private and luxurious to stay here. The burg is very stylish decorated, as fit for a castle (but not kitsch, wat you often see). Beautiful gardens, beautiful rooms. When we arrived someone waited for us to give us a tour of the castle. Sauna is included in the price. There is no dinner served, but a nearby restaurants delivers pizza and Indian food- (very easily ordering via whatsapp). Breakast served in the Knights Hall, who doesn't want? Would definitely return.

“Absolutely sublime”
Simply amazing!!! We had the run of the Castle which had the most beautiful gardens and it was so lovely to be able to wander around and explore. Beautiful sun terrace and even better hidden areas with swinging seats. Breakfast was fabulous. We only scratched the surface with a one night stay - I could lose myself here for days! Beautiful location and facilities, we ordered a takeaway in the evening which was lovely. Definitely recommend the accommodation and the fantastic staff - Anna, Louis & Alex. Can’t wait to come back!!

Friendly Personal, rooms have been renovated since my last visit, beautiful location with a fantastic view, breakfast was delicious with a nice variety, price is reasonable considering it's a castle, an elevator is available, bar room is very impressive, plenty of free parking.
