We stayed at the Euro Star Hotel and had a lovely experience. It is conveniently located near the airport, making it a great choice for travelers. Though the hotel is a bit dated, it has a serene vibe and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and looked exactly like advertised, providing comfort and cleanliness throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the restaurant on the premises, which served delicious and varied food options—we especially enjoyed the flavorful local dishes. The hospitality was excellent, with staff going above and beyond to make us feel at home. We also loved exploring the beautiful in-house murals, which added a unique artistic touch to the experience.

Terrible experience – photos are misleading, better options available nearby I stayed at Euro Star Hotel in Sri Lanka for 2 nights with my wife, and it was honestly the worst hotel experience we've ever had. We had to switch three rooms in two days! Room 1: Shower leaking all over the bathroom and a horrible smell. Room 2: Same problem – no improvement. Room 3: The door lock was broken, and someone entered our room without permission. When I checked, I saw the door couldn’t lock properly. Also, there was a bee nest on the balcony, and staff told us not to go outside. Other problems: They gave us used towels and half-used toilet paper. The place was not clean or hygienic at all. The photos online look good, but they’re totally misleading – the reality is the complete opposite. Yes, the staff were polite, but their only answer was always "sorry" with no real help or solutions. Important advice: For this price, you can find over 100 better hotels in Negombo, all close to the airport, in secure tourist areas, with better service, cleaner rooms, and even cheaper food options. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

Every member of the staff was incredibly helpful and kind, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I especially want to commend Sandeepa, Kumar, and Mohammed, who were particularly attentive and made me feel incredibly welcome. Their dedication to providing perfect service truly enhanced my experience. It's rare to find such a consistently positive and helpful team.

We had booked for Superior for 3 adults and got an upgrade to Suite during check-in. Was a pleasant surprise. But regardless, the staff was helpful and the place was neat and clean. It is 15 mins to the airport, so location is also good.
