The place is absolutely stunning. Very well maintained, very clean and very quiet. The pool amazing. The host is the best of the best - so kind, so generous, so honest, so helpful, a person with a very big heart. The food as well great. If we could turn back time, we'd have stayed there longer. We would love to come again.

The property is very hidden and has a stunning view over the pool. The room had everything we needed for a short stay. Close to the airport. Clean facilities and comfortable bed. Amal was the host and was by far one of the friendliest people we met in Sri Lanka. He and his family cooked us a lovely home cooked meal on our last evening in Sri Lanka. It was amazing. He was even kind enough to give me some of the ingredients to take home. Our children enjoyed the animals around the house and playing with Amal’s nephew. He also dropped us to the airport the next morning. We will definitely be back next time we come to Sri Lanka.

“Much more than just an airport hotel”

A great place to stay, it’s 10 minutes or so to the airport, but you won’t be bothered by aircraft noise- I think we noticed 2 planes. It’s run by Amal, a fabulously energetic host and an excellent communicator. We had arranged for him to collect us from Kataragama in the south and it went like clockwork. The hotel is a house with 2 or 3 bedrooms, set in a beautiful garden and overlooking a tempting pool. It would be well worth making a stay of a couple of days here, to enjoy the surrounding area, go bird spotting on the lagoon and use that lovely pool. We were taken for a quick trip into Negumbo in search of cinnamon and nutmeg by Amal’s nephew Michel, which made for an interesting trip, particularly a brief visit to an interesting Buddhist temple with particularly lavishly interiors. The evening meal was phenomenal- I think we had 10 different dishes ( ours were vegetarian but there were meat dishes on offer). It was without doubt our best meal in Sri Lanka. And then Amal was up again at 5 to take us to the airport, after much too brief a stay.

The perfect way to end our holiday instead of a cold impersonal airport hotel. It was so peaceful and relaxing Amal and his family are amazing hosts and the food was delicious.

I had breakfast lunch and dinner at the hotel and it was superb. Local fruits, Sri Lankan fare and really delicious.

“Fantastic!”

We booked Anuhas Villas as we had a very early airport run the next day. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The villas are set in lush gardens with a beautiful swimming pool where we were able to enjoy the last afternoon of our holidays. The team who greeted and looked after us were just delightful and cooked us the most delicious Sri Lankan curry in the evening. A little gem and absolutely to be recommended for those staying in Negombo. We would happily return!

“Couldn't have asked for more - we love Anuhas Villas”

We couldn't have asked for more from our Anuhas Villa host (Amal). After a long taxi journey from Weligama to Colombo, we were greeted with kindness and offered a lovely home cooked traditional meal. Our host Amal drove us to the airport first thing in the morning to catch our flight to India. After facing Visa issues, we had to spend an extra day at Anuhas Villas. Our host turned our stressful situation into a very reassuring experience. Amal was very helpful and gave us lots of advice on how best to deal with the tricky situation. He allowed us to use his landline phone and we managed to solve everything. The food is delicious and totally homegrown from their garden. The pool is beautiful and the wildlife is in abundance here. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and we highly recommend staying at Anuhas Villas!!

The breakfast was amazing, some really delicious local food and plenty to eat. Location was relatively easy to get to from the airport as we needed a place close by. It's a very basic hotel but served it's purpose as a good airport hotel.

The environment is superb with interesting wildlife and is quiet and relaxing. The staff member tried to be as helpful as possible. The pool is well looked after.
