“Very nice”
Staff is friendly and helpful, hotel is very clean, location is great. The futon could use more padding though. I’m thin and my bones weren’t very comfortable sleeping in a thinly padded mattress.

“Nice cheap onsen”
The room is a real ryokan experience, tatami mat and futon were super cozy and clean, the Onsen was a little small but it works for the tired body!

“Solid, minimal minshuku with great dinner add-on.”
The dinner add-on was exceptional and high-value. Bath facilities were reasonable. The room was minimal but clean, and the centrality to the station and fish market was convenient. Where other guests mention noise trouble, since I was there in the shoulder season, the place was less crowded and noisy, so consider the timing of the trip with respect to noise levels.

Mr Kenji and his wife are warm and lovely! The facilities are clean and thoughtfully laid out. The meals are sumptuous! A great place to stay esp for soli travelers.
