Opened in March 2018, HOSTEL Co-EDO is a 10-minute walk away from JR Sawara Station. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. Guests can stroll along Ono River, just a 2-minute walk from the accommodation. Katori Shrine in Chiba Prefecture is a 10-minute drive from this hostel. The nearest airport is Tokyo Narita International Airport, about 60-minutes away by train from HOSTEL Co-EDO.

This was my first time staying at a hostel and definitely not my last! The staff was super nice, the hostel has everything that you need. I think the beds were super comfortable and each bed has its own charging port and night light. The location is great.

“For the price, no complaints”
Location is good, near Ono River as well as restaurants and convenience stores. I took a single room (tatami) with bathroom attached so it was perfect for me. It even has a towel rack and enough hooks.

“A clean, well-equipped hostel in a perfect location for exploring Sawara, with kind hospitality!”
We stayed at Hostel Co-EDO after landing at Narita Airport at 8:20 pm. We didn’t expect such a long line at immigration, so we ended up arriving close to midnight. Despite the late hour, the owner (we assume) was still waiting for us, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. The location is excellent — perfect for exploring the charming town on foot. We loved being able to walk around, come back for a quick rest, and head out again easily. The room was impressively clean — honestly, we were amazed. Though small, it was very well designed and had everything we needed: a clean shower, a Japanese-style toilet, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels, and even a comb. The air conditioning worked great, and there was also a fan provided. Plus, plenty of plugs to charge our devices — a small but very appreciated detail!

“Clean, simple, pretty, space-efficient. Comfy sleep”
No breakfast provided but the staff were nice enough to recommend a nice cafe nearby for breakfast. We were also able to leave our luggage outside of checkin and checkout times, no problemo

The property is really comfy with even more accommodations than you ask for ! The place is super clean and the beds are comfortable futons. Hosts are kind and try to make everyone’s stay as best as they can.

“A nice and affordable place to stay in Sawara, would recommend.”
Location was good, 15 min walk from the train station and about 20 min walk to city center. Room was very clean and comfy though have access to 2 power outlet per bed.

“Great time”
The staff was really nice, and open to having a good chat. He also made sure people kept quiet at a reasonable time for a good sleep. Also I could keep my bike inside.

“Worth a Trip”
7mins walk from Sawara Station, nice unagi place just right next door, old-town river walk just behind the hostel. Comfortable and clean room. Living room and kitchen are nice and clean too.
