Overview
Perched on the edge of a ridge, 300 metres from the heart of Katoomba’s town centre, this 4.5-star hotel offers panoramic views of the World Heritage Blue Mountains. Capturing the essence of the past, Mountain Heritage Hotel offers modern facilities and services. Guest rooms feature a flat-screen TV, air-conditioning, en-suite with shower and either a full-sized bath or spa. Many rooms and suites also have their own romantic real flame fireplace. Each of the 41 guestrooms features high ceilings and bespoke collector furniture crafted from imported British Columbia timbers and paired with stylish soft furnishings embracing the traditions of European country houses. Some rooms feature picturesque mountain views. Jamison Views Restaurant and Bar boasts breathtaking escarpment views and offers a seasonal menu of quality cuisine. Guests can relax with a glass of wine in front of an open fire in the guest lounge or watch the sunset from the spacious balconies. You can pamper yourself in the day spa, play a game of billiards, or cozy up with a book and a hot chocolate in the library. There are 3 golf courses to choose from, all within less than a 20-minute drive of the hotel. The Mountain Heritage offers a bird’s eye view of the historic village of Leura and “Paddy’s Town”, a collection of cottages relocated more than a century ago by an enterprising Irishman from Katoomba’s original mine - now the location of the famous Scenic World tourist attraction.

Staff were so friendly and helpful, the cocktail hour, open fires and piano playing were a highlight! Perfect distance to walk into Katoomba. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious! Look forward to staying again.

The hotel is always impeccably clean, and the rooms are exceptionally spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The beds are so comfortable that we always enjoy a restful night's sleep. One of the things we love most is opening the windows and breathing in the fresh mountain air. It is such a simple pleasure, but it makes every stay feel special and relaxing. The location is perfect, close to everything you need, including shops, cafés, restaurants, and the many wonderful attractions of Katoomba and the Blue Mountains. What keeps us coming back time and time again is the warm atmosphere and consistent quality. We genuinely love this hotel and always look forward to our next visit. We highly recommend the Mountain Heritage Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and memorable stay in the Blue Mountains.

“We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rebook!”
The staff were very friendly and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was large and comfortable. The hotel is old but very cozy. The view from the bar and restaurant downstairs was stunning. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire at night playing board games and listening to the pianist. We also took advantage of happy hour at the bar and enjoyed the complimentary canapés.

The property was well-maintained and had a wonderful ambiance about it. Listening to the pianist while sipping a cocktail on a cold Saturday night was definitely a highlight. Very calm and peaceful here. Enjoyed the extensive photo collection too.

“A hidden gem”
Refurbished but still kept the charm of the heritage hotel. Absolutely loved the decor and vibe of the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Lounge area was cosy and great for spending time. Well situated near town as well! Staff was super friendly too. View from the property was a huge bonus. Do note that there are no lifts so just be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs if you stay on the 2nd floor.

These rooms provide views overlooking the village and scenic Jamison Valley. The room is open plan with an en-suite bathroom and full bath with shower as well as individually controlled heating and air-conditioning. The windows can be opened for fresh mountain air. Room sizes range from 20 sqm to 28 sqm with a Queen or King size bed. Room includes large flat screen television All rooms are accessible via stairs. Maximum of 2 guests only can be accommodated in this room type
Heritage Suite
They are spacious and boast a corner spa bath in the en-suite. Also included is individually controlled heating and air-conditioning and windows which open for fresh mountain air. Suite sizes range from 37 sqm to 46 sqm. Please note that the price is based on 2 guests. All rooms are accessible via stairs.
