Overview
The traditionally-built Santa Marina Guesthouse is located in Kato Loutraki Village of Aridaia, within 1.5 km from Pozar Thermal Springs. It features a lounge area with fireplace and self-catering units with free Wi-Fi and 2 balconies overlooking the garden and Kaimaktsalan Mountain. We booked for 3 nights but left after just one. When I lay down on the bed, I honestly thought it might launch me into the ceiling. Luckily, the beds were so incredibly noisy that there was no danger of anyone secretly wandering off during the night. The building definitely has a “soul” — we could hear it all night long. Something probably lives in the ceiling too. No worries about anyone falling into the pool, though, because there was no water in it. The freezer was completely packed with ice, but thankfully there was a hairdryer in the apartment, so with a bit of effort we managed to get the ouzo cold. On the positive side, the breakfast was great, accompanied by an excellent group of cats who watched every bite we took with deep judgment in their eyes.

I ordered Turkish coffee with breakfast, which I received after 45 minutes. Also, the bed was falling apart all night, the boards were falling, you couldn't sleep 2 people on a double bed. Also, the blankets smelled bad and there was limescale on the tap, and it was very cold in the room on the ground floor and the toilet smelled like sewage.

We had a small kitchenette to cook dinner which was perfect for us. We came in January and the room was very warm when we arrived. The breakfast was just enough not too much, not too little.
