Excellent stay, really friendly owners who gave great advice about our upcoming trek and options to do in Kathmandu, we left our luggage and rented walking poles and sleeping bag for a good price for our trek. Really residential quiet area of the city, comfy bed with hot good water pressure shower, fully recommend

Amazing place and owners! Super clean room and bathroom. If you love birds you will be happy - they are singing from early morning. Very relaxing and quiet area, not far from Thamel. If you want go to Patan or Baktapur is walking distance to main road. Next time I come Kathmandu I will stay in Peace Homestay. Thank you for help with taxi, luggage and bag. I hope I will come next year.

An unexpectedly pleasant and warm welcome in Kathmandu! The incredibly hospitable hosts gave me a feeling of home and comfort. The house is new and lovingly maintained. This is a place where you are truly welcome! It's very clean, comfortable, and quiet, and close to the city center and the airport. Shops, cafes, fast food outlets, restaurants, and beauty salons are open late into the night, with prices lower than in the city center.

Host was very nice person, helpful with good english and room was very spacey, clean and bed was big and super comfortable to be honest one of the best bed in my traveling experience ever if you prefer little bit harder one in style like futon. Location was super calm. We had our privacy even the bathroom is shared. There is hot water and possibility of home made food cooked by host wife. You can use roof for exercise, dry cloths or just chilling with city view. For these money it is amazing accommodation.

I didn't want to stay at Thamel so I chose Peace Homestay for a more authentic experience and cheaper prices for food, and I was happy with this choice. This homestay is family-run and I found a kind-hearted attitude there. The room was plain but I had everything I needed, and everything was quite new in it. There were NO bed bugs in the room. The bathroom was new, big enough, clean. Generally, the place is new and well-maintained. The area is safe and free of scammers. Many momo places near the homestay (100 rupees for a portion), almost every shop sells paneer (cheese-like product) and live yogurt (100 rupees for 0.5 kg or cheaper if in a plastic bag) - just ask, they have fridges. Loved the intersection Samarpan Marg and Janajagriti Marg - a fruits-and-veggies store there and a bakery with good European-like bread. Near the Ring Road, there is a decent hypermarket-like store, Bhat-Bhateni Super Store Balaju. I didn't install a taxi app but normally went down to the Ring Road (10 min walk) and offered 150 rupees (1.1$) to a motorbike taxi for a trip to Dallu Tapintaa Bridge near the Durbar area.

Comfortable stay in a lovely modern and clean family house in a pleasant, quiet neighbouhood. Restaurants and shops can be found in the local area, but not many. The host is very knowledgeable and is able to book bus tickets, as well as treks if required. He also kindly showed me to the bus pick up point on the ring road when I was leaving on the tourist bus to Pokhara. The evening meal I had on my first night there having arrived late was much appreciated too.
