the location is good, the staff is so friendly! i was going to Pokhara in the early morning so i had to skip breakfast - the manager asked staff to pack the breakfast for me. it was so cute!

We stayed here before and after our trek. The rooms are clean and spacious and the hotel is peaceful and quiet which is rare for its great location in such a vibrant city. The staff are attentive and the manager is very knowledgeable on trekking and activities around the city as well as the rest of the country. A perfect Kathmandu base.

Staff were fantastic. The place was very clean and felt luxurious 😊 On top of this it actually was in a quite place in Thamel a bit more market end and out the way, but go one street across and you can be in the hustle and bustle of it all.

“A small oasis in Thamel”

This is a perfect hotel in the middle of busy Thamel, a small oasis. The manager was very helpful with our next reservation and the staff caring about our luggage

The staff was always helpful, courteous and warm. The accommodations were very nice, and clean. Best bathroom I had in Nepal by far. The location is convenient. The included breakfast was always delicious and different each day. Options for other meals are also very good and prices are fair. Good ambience in various dining places.

“A peaceful, knee-saving oasis in the heart of the chaos”

After pushing our joints to their absolute limits in the mountains, collapsing into the Kailash Boutique Hotel was exactly what the doctor ordered. It is tucked just far enough away from the frantic hum of Thamel to offer some genuine peace, yet close enough that you don't have to walk more than 50 meters to find a decent coffee or a stunning local stupa. The rooms are exceptionally clean, Ejaj and the rest of the staff are wonderfully accommodating, and the 1st floor terrace is the ultimate lazy sanctuary—perfect for nursing a ginger tea and watching the city pass by without having to lift a finger. It was the perfect spot to recuperate before our flight home. We wrote a rather extensive, unfiltered breakdown of our stay here—including why our knees barely survived the journey—which you can find by googling "SandSpice Langtang Valley Trek". It's the top result! We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Kathmandu.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. Central location but situated on a quiet street which was perfect. Beautiful rooms which have air con, fridge, safe, tea/coffee and water. The bar/dining area at the front of the hotel is lovely. We enjoyed many meals from here or a nice cold beer. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
