Loved the place. The rooms were super clean, the staff thoroughly professional and well behaved. Another important area is the cleanliness of the place. Bathrooms were spotless too. And the best part is the owner cum manager himself. Mr. Raj, who is always there for help in whatever way possible.

The property was in a really great location, and the staff were very friendly and helpful to organise picking me up from the airport. Raj in particular was extremely welcoming and made sure I was sorted with breakfast as soon as I arrived very early in the morning! Rooms were basic but all that was needed and a really comfy bed.

This is an unbelievably good place to stay in Kathmandu. I couldn't believe my eyes at the total amount displayed on my phone because it was ridiculously cheap! Hot water? Check, Breakfast? Check, Good service? Check, Central location? Check The property is basic, but the experience felt special. The owner and his staff treat the guest like a family member.

Little stay in this hôtel but we were very happy about this réservation...good price, great breakfast , staff very kind and this hotel was in a good place in Thamel. We will go there a next time !

We stayed here for two nights after arriving in Kathmandu. Communication with the hotel was very smooth, especially since our flight got changed several times, so we had to change the pickup time even at the last minute. The host was very friendly and helped us with everything - even exchanging money for a better rate than we found on the street. They also offered to drop us at the bus stop early in the morning because we had an early bus to catch before our trek, and they prepared breakfast earlier than their usual serving time for us.

Please read full review, especially for solo female traveller. My first stay at Yambu was genuinely positive. The staff were friendly, the hotel was quiet, the room and bed were comfortable, breakfast was simple but tasty, and the location was excellent for Thamel. As a solo traveller, I also appreciated the help I received with local touring and dining. However, my second stay felt very different.

Big comfortable room. Really nice staff that were happy to help with anything. Good location and quiet at night. I left my bag in their storage unit for a few weeks whilst trekking.
