It was awesome stay at Hotel Family home. Everything was at the par ,location, room cleanliness, staff behaviour,all were perfect. Manager Mr. Dhanak Kumar was always ready to help us out. He arranged our sight seeing and it was also perfect.I did not have to go outside for money exchange. He helped in every way ..I suggest everyone if you would like to visit Kathmandu,consider this hotel as of your choice then you will really realize the comfort and convenience I enjoyed there .All the very best to Hotel Family Home and expects they will maintain the same standard in future too.

“Outstanding”

Location was central but in an inner quite road. The room was very spacious, as double as of normal hotel room. The breakfast was simple but enough. Most importantly, as the name implies, they welcomed us as their family member. very helpful. staff, tow sisters, Sushmita and Rekha were always smiling and taking care of us. If I come back Nepal. I would definitely stay in the hotel.

the room is spacious, the bed was comfortable excellent location on a quiet part if the busy city. Excellent location! They have healthy options for breakfast. I was impressed by the kindness of the owners. I would definitely stay again.

“Value for money stay!”

Central location but hidden in a side street so it was quieter than it should have been. The neighbouring properties were a (private?) gated temple and another hotel with a garden. Sushmita at the front desk was delightful (I am LGBT) and Rekha (not sure if I'm spelling it correctly 😭) from the rooftop restaurant who made the most excellent Nepali coffee for breakfast was wonderful! The rooftop area was lovely by the way. I saw the owner twice passing through the reception area and he was cheerful and courteous. I only dealt with Sushmita and Rekha and they were rockstars.

Fantastic Stay in Kathmandu. Perfect location. I enjoyed it so much I stayed again when arrived back to Kathmandu. My room both times was very spacious, clean and comfy. The breakfast provided is delicious. Kumar the owner is so lovely and helpful. Highly recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful with any request you need such as arranging transport to the airport. Rooms were clean and spacious, location was right in the middle of thamel and convenient. It was quiet at night even if it was in thamel as the hotel in located in an alley. Lots of food and dining options around.

I had a fantastic stay in Hotel Family Home. My room was very big and comfortable. WiFi worked great. Breakfast was delicious. The terrace has a lovely view and the location was super for exploring Kathmandu. The best part of my stay was the hotel owner, Kumar. He was so very kind and helped plan a trip to Chitwan National park for me. I hope to stay here again if/when I'm back in Kathmandu. I highly recommend.

I felt truly comfortable at this hotel in Kathmandu. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was clean and I especially loved the beautiful terrace where you can enjoy breakfast. The location is quiet, yet close to many attractions. Had a great stay at hotel family home. In the heart of Thamel but tucked away in a quiet alley so it’s feels like a bit of a sanctuary. I ended up staying many nights and it was clean and the staff were very helpful and relaxed. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Thamel.
