“An unforgetable experience and the kindness of strangers.”
The room was a good size , the shower was ok , the breakfast was tasty and the laundry was handy. The staff especially Chris was kind and helpful , on the day we had planned to leave , we had to evacuate to the High school as the town flooded and the roads closed , we were able to take pillows and a large blanket to the emergency centre , we stayed there 3 nights. We returned to Pine tree for a night before driving back to Darwin. We were shown kindness by the people of Katherine at a scary time , we had a real Northern Territory Wet Season experience , arriving back in the Uk safe and sound.

The room was clean and comfortable. Parking outside our room was great. It was only a short drive or 15 minute walk to the local shops. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly

• Really good value for money - $104 for one night, free buffet breakfast included, aircon, comfortable beds, TV with Foxtel, Netflix and other streaming platforms and a well maintained pool and bbq area! • We stayed during the 2026 Katherine floods as we were passing through, the motel was unaffected but staff were very understanding about our situation and not knowing how long we would be staying for. • Hotel room was completely accessible (we did not require these facilities but I can appreciate the inclusion) - rails, shower chair, low sink, walk in shower, no steps and ample space.

“Flood refuge”
We were there during the March/2026 flood and Chris was an absolute legend. So accomodating and helpful with everything. He put us on the top floor, provided breakfast and bedding in case we wanted to go to a shelter. I can’t recommend the place enough!

A big thank you to the staff here who made our experience exceptional. We had already stayed here for 5 days, then checked out. Only to have to return a few hours later because of the flood warning. They booked us straight in and made sure we had everything we needed to prepare for the weather. Breakfast was delicious, big shout out to the two loveliest chef’s A+M. Thank you to the owner for all your helpful info and kind heart. The bed was comfy, the pool was great, at night the bats filled the sky, the frogs sang all around us and it was all topped off with rain and thunderstorms. Wishing everyone at the Pine Tree all the best for the road ahead.

“standard and satisfactory. we will be staying here ongoing once a month for our work trips”
we only stayed one night therefore didnt get to make full use of the facilities. of our own doing we missed the complementary breakfast which my coworkwer said was a full buffet. we were satisdfied enough with this hotel to be staying again every month for work on our weeks in Katherine. it was quiet and seemed secure enough for our cars etc. the place is the age that it is, our rooms are clean and well maintained.

Owner was very nice with us, the rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. There was a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning, nothing big but better than eating cereal or toast in your room.
