Overview
Welcome to Kaštela. Feel the amazing spirit of Dalmatia in our XIV-Century-Rooms located in a charming historical limestone building kept in the traditional Dalmatian seafront style. The rooms can be easily reached from Split Airport (4 km) by Taxi / Uber or just by taking the airport bus (line 37). The short walking distance (6 min) to two of the most beautiful beaches in Kaštela and amenities like beach towels, small beach loungers and parasols make the rooms especially suitable for flight passengers with light baggage. It is also ideal for longer term guests who want to explore the cultural treasures of this area, but also like to enjoy some sunny days at the beaches in between. The main seaside promenade between Kaštel Novi and Kaštel Stari, featuring many restaurants, coffee bars, small fashion shops and markets is just a few steps away. The XIV-Century-Rooms are connected to a high – rated inhouse restaurant (“Konoba Dominik”) run in the same traditional Dalmatian style as the rooms themselves. The Konoba Dominik works every day except on Mondays All rooms are equipped with a regularly serviced A/C, a new LG SmartTV, and a kettle with a selection of coffee and tea bags.

Great location, comfortable bed and good shower, very clean and well appointed. Perfect for our overnight before morning flight, just 5 minutes to airport in an Uber, which doesn't cost much compared to local taxis, or there is a bus every 20mins if you prefer. Lovely little old town, nice cafe bars, restaurants on your doorstep and nice beach just 8mins walk away. We booked for the convenient location and were very pleasantly surprised how lovely Kaštel Novi is, could have happily spent a few days there.

We had realy exellent stay with the nice view, comfortable, clean, spacious room and very welcoming host. We feel the care all the time: we were adviced for the restaurants and how to reach the airport. Really we had exellent short stay, thanks for the hosts!

“Excellent all round experience, recommended”
Rooms were perfect for us, just an overnight stay before flying home. Location in the old town right by the beach/sea was superb. We had dinner in Kanoba Dominik which is run by the owners of the rooms. Excellent meal. Communications with the owners/staff was easy and very helpful.

Our last minute booking of XIV century rooms was in a super location for being nearer to the airport for our midday flight the following day, and was excellent value for money. Instead of getting up for a 5.30am ferry back to the mainland for our flight, we decided to come back the day before and spend the night in the lovely little coastal town of Kastela Novi. The location of Kastela Novi was perfect for us, providing the historical Croatian charm of gorgeous buildings and alleys, the sea and plenty of traditional eating options within a 2 minute walking radius (the restaurant on-site is closed on Mondays, which happened to be the night we stayed). We had originally planned to hop on the local 37 bus to the airport in the morning, but with only a small daysack each, and our walking shoes on, we walked the 45 minutes along the coast to the airport the next morning. Our room at XIV Century was clean and great for our 1 night stay. Entry if via a key safe on the terrace. It was a little cooler in our room, but we found a single duvet in the wardrobe, which we draped across us both.

“It was nice and cozy. We chose it for the location. If we had arrived earlier, we could have had dinner in Konoba Domini”
Location: proximity to the airport, and nearby places to eat breakfast. Bed: cozy Room: necessary amenities were supplied. We didn't need much as we just need a place to sleep in between midnight until checkout time.
