Our stay at Lake Mwamba was wonderful from start to finish. Sylas was incredibly helpful and kind, and the room and views were absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be returning soon!

Top-ten views of a lifetime Fantastic staff

We absolutely loved our stay at Lake Mwamba Lodge. The view is stunning, the food is great, but what really stuck out is how incredibly helpful and kind the staff was. We had issues wit our car battery and required somebody to jumpstart our car on the way to the lodge. Despite being 20 minutes away from the lodge, the guys managed to call people in the village that showed up within a few minutes and sorted us out. But even more remarkably, our battery died on us the morning of a planned Chimpanzee tour at 6am. The whole staff tried to help us and when the car just wouldn't start, they manage to organize a car from the owner in the village and driver. We managed to be at the tour by the skin of our teeth :-) While we were on the chimp tour, they handled the interaction with our rental company, got the battery replaced and our car was ready to be picked up in town when we were done. The whole team was so lovely. Amazing experience

The lodge has a fantastic setting and a beautiful view. Staff was very nice and helpful. Easily one of our best places to stay during our tour around Uganda. Many thanks, Crescent!

“Incredibly beautiful and wonderful hospitality”

The property was in a beautiful setting. Easy to get to and easy to locate. The rooms were spacious and it had the most beautiful eating area. Chris was so helpful and took us on the best well priced experiences, highly recommend the coffee tour! Ben the chef new how to whip up a treat. Would highly recommend everything.

“Really nice place for a good price.”

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the kindness and hostility of the stuff. Best view around the crater lake, very nice nature and silent accommodation. The nights are just full of natural voices. Crescent and the Chef were always helpfully and were organising activities for us in the Community. The food was always fresh and delicious.

“Superb”

The location and the view from the hotel is breathtaking. Everything is catered for in the room which also provides superb view. The staff are extremely welcoming. The breakfast and dinner was served giving us the best view. Only a word of caution is that in rainy season a proper 4 WD vehicle is required to negotiate and reach hotel.

Located on top of an isolated hill on the crater rim, the lodge offers an exceptional view of the lake and the distant Rwenzori Mountains. A truly serene environment (day and night), with starlit nights. The cottage was large and well constructed, including the bathroom, which had ample warm water for the shower.

Very calm and beautiful place. We went for a walk though the villages and even swam in the lake.

The location was wonderful and the view and near by waterfalls amazing. The rooms where simple but nice.

This was a great choice for a budget weekend away. Crescent went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The meals were simple but tasty, rooms are very clean and comfortable and the location is perfect for some chill days with a book, or to go out and seek adventures. Thanks to the entire team.

“Exceptional”

The view from the viewing deck on Lake Mwamba is stunning. You can see beautiful sunrise and sunset while you have your breakfast or dinner outdoors. The food is local, simple, but very delicious. Our room was very large, had a balcony and a private big bathroom with shower and bath. Very clean. But the best was the friendly staff, we were very warmly welcomed and cared for. The host was very helpful and answer all our questions.
