Overview
Located in Kasane and overlooking the Chobe River, The Old House offers an outdoor pool, garden and a restaurant. Decorated with modern décor, all the rooms are equipped with mosquito nets, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and air conditioning. Some of the rooms offer garden views. Breakfast is served every morning. The Old Houses’ restaurant and bar offers African and international cuisine. The property is also within walking distance to shops in Kasane. For a surcharge, guests can book safari and game drives into Chobe National Park. The park is a 10 minute boat cruise or drive from the property. Boat cruises on the Chobe River as well as day trips across the border to the Victoria Falls can also be arranged.

“Great place to stop at the beginning or end of a safri trip.”
An excellent place to round off a long safari trip in Botswana. The weather had been very hot so a room with great ac and fabulous showers were just what was needed. Good food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast allowed us to prepare for our flights home.

Really good breakfasts and meals reasonably priced and varied menu. Property went down to the Chobe river. Enjoyed seeing warthogs and bushbucks on the lawn. Nice bar. Very friendly helpful staff.

“Chilled vibes in a garden space”

Nice rooms, comfortable...nice little restaurant...The females staff were very nice...the food is good...and the capuccino excellent... Very well situated...with the river closeby..practical for river cruise pick up and drop off... And not very far from Chobe park gate... Also lots of birds...

“2 Days in Kasane”
Quirky appearance with a tropical feel in the surrounding gardens. Felt safe walking about 10 minutes down to the shopping area along the main road. Room was comfortable although the bed was small. Breakfast was very good. Ate in the restaurant twice for our evening dinner and we enjoyed the food served. The safari drive we took one morning was excellent thanks to our guide Andrik who was knowledgeable and obliging. The sunset cruise booked through The Old House was disappointing since the guide was most reluctant to explain anything or point things out unless she was asked a direct question.

“Please change what you call double bed to bigger single. Even the wardrobe was that of a child”
Well I ended up not spending the night there. I was looking for comfort but when my room was presented to me, I was shocked what they call double room was just a bigger single. I could have stayed if it was even a queen bed! I hope to get my refund. Ended up going to Cresta. Big hotel hotel but nevertheless very comfortable beds and actually it made my visit to Kasane very well worth it.

“A lovely access to the riverside”
I loved the access to the riverfront and the premises and room were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful, WiFi worked well. Seeing a bushbuck in the garden at night was priceless and so was the sunset birdsong. Staff, whilst always professional and friendly, just didn't seem happy.

Property is well kept. Reception was very helpful in arranging afternoon boat cruise when I arrived and shuttle to airport for departure. Convenient to have on-site resto/bar. Also close to a cafe, Italian restaurant and Spar. Kalahari Tours 5 min walk away.
