“Amazing villa overlooking chobe river”

reception arranged to pick us up from airport at no charge and were in reception when we arrived. check in was easy and speedy.

Outstanding accommodation. Superior facilities and equipment. Staff from reception to restaurant and cleaning all most friendly and eager to assist.. Grounds and driveways neat and well maintained Excellent breakfast included in rate.

“An amazing stay that took a horrific turn on the last night”

We had an interesting stay..visiting from Australia everything couldn’t have been any more perfect with the waterfront self-containers apartment and the safari tours where we had the most incredible guide (Andrew) who couldn’t be faulted. The down-fall of this accommodation however was our last night where we were the only ones staying in the complex (perfect right!?) Our group was cooking dinner on the coal bbq when things went rather weird…there were search lights scanning the waters edge and flares getting fired to light up the river..which we thought was strange. Initially we thought they were hunting animals in a very touristy spot!. At 1AM in the morning we were woken to the most horrific situation of AK47s being fired which we later found were straight into the side of our villa (with bullet holes left). The after hours reception / security number was non-responsive (and I still haven’t had a response to the messages around all the gun fire). We were all absolutely terrified and learnt the next day that there had been a border-crosser from Namibia whom had come to rob the place and had cut the fence and electric wires and had thankfully been detected by bored patrol / the police who we were told were the ones that opened fire (we are still questioning the accuracy of the shots!!!). We genuinely had the most amazing experience with our first visit to Africa…but the last night absolutely killed it and left us terrified. I gather from the response from the staff the next day that this doesn’t happen too often…irrespective i could confidently say we would never go back.

Loved our stay. The property was as described on the website. The entire apartments was mint clean including the linen. The beds were very much comfortable.

“Wonderful Stay at Sandpiper Villas Chobe”

This was the second time we have stayed at Sandpiper Villas in Chobe and it is just fantastic. Everything about Sandpiper is first rate. The comfort of the rooms is outstanding, the welcome and service from the manager Todd and Diego was great. Also the convenience to the shopping center a couple of minutes walk away is an absolute bonus. I highly recommend Sandpiper Villas Chobe. We are definitely going back.

We were happy with our clean modern accommodation. The staff were kind enough to wait and serve us our breakfast after arriving back a little late from the game-viewing drive. We were satisfied with the game-drive and cruise excursions arranged by Sandpiper Villas.

If you get the river facing bungalow you have uninterrupted river view. No boats or people....juat animals

“Great place for visiting Chobe”

The place was perfect for our visit to Chobe. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the balcony was beautiful overlooking Chobe river. Breakfast was great and very useful to have a supermarket a few minutes walk from the site. The staff were helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed all their organised tours.

Very service oriented, clean and good management. For a self catering their service was outstanding and they will go the extra mile to make you comfortable and arrange the activity your looking for. The view on the river is lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Clean, spacious,well equipped, river views, near shops but so quiet and secluded. Best game drive . Staff so friendly. A hippo sunning itself along the Chobe river welcomed us.
