“Perfect base for our 2 night Chobe stay”

It was a good size for meeting some of the other guests at the communal dining table and for giving very good service. Staff would do anything for you if they can… even fix my sunglasses! Boat trip and game safari excellent but book early as we missed out one day on their activities and had to book something else which was not good quality.

Coming from more expensive lodges it was on the first view a bit more like a family driven campsite ( public areas) Not to misunderstood: The nice staff was very professional and caring. We had the house with an attached room (10,11). That was a huge appartment, fully equipped and with a private terrace 10 m from the river. Perfect for a longer stay. The meals were simple ( no chichi) but very tasty, two choices of each course. We did Vic as a private tour and boat within a group. Very fair prices of rooms, meals and drives.

The facilities and decor in this lodge were beautiful This is in a lovely quiet setting overlooking the river. They were able to organise many excellent safaris for us. John was an excellent tour guide with loads of information The staff at the hotel were brilliant too! - so friendly!

We absolutely loved our stay at River View Lodge! The setting is idyllic and with Shingi, Sofia and the rest of the lovely team, taking care of every transfer and activity for us, we felt that we were in safe hands from the moment we arrived. This was especially important to us on our first Safari holiday. The game drives were excellent, meals were delicious and our room was very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Second time staying there. Lovely staff and fantastic location. Dinner is freshly prepared and tasty. Will definitely stay there again when we return to Kasane.

“Delightful stay in a well kept lodge with knowledgeable staff”

From arrival the staff were exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable. They helped us arrange transfers. They were very organised with activities and we did a morning game drive. Common areas were clean with lots of different areas to sit. The pool was refreshing and area was recently refurbished. The family chalet was well appointed and very clean. Each day cakes and cookies were freshly made, the ginger biscuits were delicious! As with most lodges there is limited choices for dinner but what’s provided is homemade and tasty

“Excellent home comforts in relaxed surroundings”

We were a family group of 7 stating 3 nights . The rooms were very spacious and overlooking beautiful views . The warm welcome of the staff , the availability of tea / coffee and homemade biscuits ( ginger ones amazing) and the unexpected free lunch , all home made food was delicious. We availed of the afternoon river cruise , the full day game drive with John , who was an outstanding guide and stopped with fantastic picnic lunch . We also did two 5am morning drives to try catch big cat ( we missed leopards on day one !) the evening menu while limited was absolutely delicious and home cooked food , totally suitable for vegetarians too and even making gluten free bread loaf fresh for me every day! Highly recommend, I believe they are going to put small fridge in rooms which was only thing missing .

Customer service was exceptional with staff going the extra mile to ensure our comfort. Our flight was significantly delayed and we were allowed to remain in the room and have a relaxing afternoon at the hotel.

The gate was open all day and the lodge is in the middle of a residential area.We were a bit concerned about security .The staff reassured us it was safe.

Everything was beautiful. The room was clean and spacious with really nice amenities. The beds were comfortable.We booked the half day game drive with them and really enjoyed everything. Our driver John was very kind and set up a lovely bush breakfast for us. The ala carte dinner was amazing.The room have a beautiful view of Chobe river. The bottom less tea and cookies were a plus for us abd our kuds. I would rebook this property over and over again.

Beautiful setting next to the river and peaceful to just relax and enjoy nature.The activity management was outstanding. The food was devine.

Lovely location on the Chobe river and so clean and comfortable. We were lucky to have an upgrade to a very nice big room. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was great to have the home comforts after a dusty, bumpy 9 night mobile safari! A little oasis!
