“Amazing Service, lovely Place to Stay”

We had a lovely 4 night stay here, we had excellent communication from Irene before we arrived who aranged a ride for us from the airport. Even though we arrived at 8am she was able to get us checked in before 11am and even upgraded our room to one with a balcony which was a lovely surprise! She was so very helpful and gave us many tips and helped us when we had questions. The room was very clean and tidy and we had fresh towels and bins changed every day, the pool was wonderful when we were hot in the afternoon and it was a short 20 minute walk into Fira where the main bus hub was as well as a bus stop about 5 minutes walk away going in the other direction. We could also order breakfast and dinner to our room if need for a good price.

Pension George is a fantastic place to stay in Santorini! It’s located in Karterados, just a short 5-minute bus ride from Fira — the main hub of the island. This makes it super convenient to travel anywhere across Santorini while still enjoying a peaceful and relaxing stay away from the crowds. The property itself is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed, with a lovely pool area perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are comfortable and give a cozy, homely feel. A special mention goes to Irene, the wonderful host. She is kind, empathetic, and always ready to help with a smile — whether it’s arranging transport, giving local tips, or just making sure you feel at home. I travelled with my father with limited mobility and his comforts were like after. Her warmth truly adds a personal touch to the whole experience. Overall, Pension George offers great value, comfort, and hospitality — highly recommended for anyone visiting Santorini! I rate it 5/5.

I highly recommend staying at pension george. We received excellent service and personal attention at the reception. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is great—slightly away from the busy central area, which makes it quieter. We especially enjoyed the pool; it was such a pleasure to swim in it on the hot August days.

Irene is the best host. She is very welcoming and attentive to everybody's needs. The atmosphere created is great and everybody seems at ease and respectful in the common areas. The location is perfect, very quiet. Everything close by (shops, restaurants, bus stop). Even the airport. Walking distance to Fira (10/15 minutes max.) The rooms are very clean and well maintained by the staff. The pool also. Great service all around. We would definitely go back!

The staff is very courteous. Irene was brilliant 👏🏽. Our flight was delayed, but she gave us the WhatsApp number to call her on arrival at past 1am. She gave us very useful information about activities and places. Extra cooking pot, etc
