“Beautiful Haus conversion with wonderful restaurant nextdoor.”

A beautifully converted Haus with everything you could need provided and some lovely extra touches. (Some slippers and a bath robe would make it 5*.) Wonderful restaurant on site for a special meal, which we really enjoyed. Perfect for our short holiday. Much enjoyed and we look forward to returning sometime. Vielen Dank!

“Lovely stay in quiet town with a superb restaurant”

The property is located in a little village about 5 minutes from the Karlsruhe to Frankfurt motorway and has been beautifully converted into accommodation, some parts of the property are over 600 years old, having said thatall the facilities are of a very high standard and the check in uses a code and key box that worked very well. The accommodation was very clean , well appointed, parking was on road but it was so quiet that was not a problem. We had a garden apartment with a small patio and a very large double bed and a sofa bed. Attached to the property is a delightful restaurant ( check opening times) in the original 600 year old property which had an excellent menu and the food was beautifully cooked and presented and also an equally impressive wine list. Our hosts were so nice to us the whole time we were there.

The staff of the property was exceptional, kind and responsive, even before our arrival. We arrived with two kids (6 and 3 years) late at night and were greeted nonetheless by staff. The parking is a little tricky inside the courtyard, but not impossible either. Just be careful not to hit anything while manicuring the car. We ended up in the apartment Sinnesrausch, which was part of a building that probably dates several centuries. Walking inside definitely had its lovely charm, which heavy wood all over, low ceilings and door frames as well as a very nicely finished upstairs. Navigating the very steep stairway was a bit of a challenge for our kids, so we made sure to always be with them as they went up and down. Keep that in mind if you have very young kids with you. We may not have seen it, but if there is anything we think could be a smidge better, is if the heating upstairs allowed the two rooms there to warm up a little more. It was fine, but maybe we just like it a little warmer than the upstairs got in the cold weekend we were there :) The cleanliness of the apartment was very much appreciated, as well as the amenities such as TV, fridge and tea and coffee station. We are delighted of our stay and highly recommend it to anyone who comes through the Karlsruhe area.

“Nice place with an excellent restaurant”

Charming host and attractive traditional chalet type building (though would have probably preferred one of their new/modern block of rooms - but booked too late). Very calm village. Beautiful outdoor restaurant with strikingly well executed traditional/rustic cooking, though with sophisticated embellishments. Short but thoughtful wine list and different set menus, reasonably priced for the quality (and generous portions and pours). I'm mainly rating the accommodation but the restaurant was a terrific bonus. Nice mosaiced shower. Good portable AC unit.

Lovely place, very old and full of character. Good English was spoken by the owner, which is quite useful when one has limited German.

Clean appartment on a nice location. Restaurants and supermarket are close by.

Nicely renovated apartment, with all the facilities one can expect from an apartment! Water pressure was excellent and there is even a hairdryer. Limited parking possibilities on site, but we managed to get spots. Very cute and cosy and I was sad we only stayed one night.
