“A warm welcome to a beautiful location.”
Everything! Karkkila is a beautiful location and the grounds surrounding the hotel are wonderful. The staff are so friendly and very patient and supportive if you want to practice your Finnish. It’s only a short walk from town and the walk between the hotel and Kino Laika is a photographer’s dream. The kitchen is well equipped and the breakfast was wonderful. Communications leading up to our visit were timely and helpful. We will definitely return!

The facility, which displays a charming old Finnish style and the location itself are staggering. The hotel staff and its personnel were overwhelmingly courteous and attentive to guests' needs, and made me feel at home. I travel a lot, but this was definitely the best experience I have ever had. Congratulations.

The room (”deluxe double”) was quite basic and with two single beds instead of a double bed. Surroundings are exquisite and location perfect. Good breakfast. Self-checkin by door code, although it was not mentioned in any messaging that you could just go in without the need to go through reception.

Very nice and historical surroundings by a river. Good "take away" (or rather "eat alone") breakfast left in the fridge. Peaceful and quiet. Fan available, good beds.

The breakfast box idea was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I really enjoyed it and also kept me from eating too much in a buffet breakfast. They were very sweet and added the dairy-free options I asked for instead of just removing them; e.g. adding oat milk. The staff is lovely.

“A lovely stay in the heart of the old ironworks village”
Great atmosphere and historic surroundings. We stayed in the 'Red House' building, the room was spacious enough and very clean. Good beds. Check in was easy and comfortable, we got the codes for both doors via Booking mobile app and text message. Breakfast was ready in the fridge and it was diverse (bread, yogurt, apple, egg, juice and milk for the coffee which you could make in the common kitchen area). The restaurant in the main building is worth a try. There is a separate storage room for bikes, just ask the staff.
