Overview
Situated on the sandy beach of Karfas, Golden Sand Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with balcony. It includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, a restaurant, a tavern and 2 bars. Golden Sand rooms are spacious and come with a satellite TV, mini bar and hairdryer. They all have a private bathroom with bathtub or shower. Guests can enjoy a drink at the poolside bar or at the indoor café-bar offering panoramic sea views. The Golden Sand restaurant serves gourmet cuisine and a wide collection of Greek wines. Chios Airport is less than a 10-minute drive away, while the main town of Chios is at 7 km. Private parking is provided on site free of charge. Pet Policy: Pets having weight till 10 kilograms are allowed . Their owner is responsible for them and they shall pay any damages that do. Also the pet must not be left alone in the room.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were very impressed with everything. The cleanliness, food, pool, and beach were all excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would especially like to thank Anna at the reception desk. She was incredibly helpful, both before our arrival while we were still in Türkiye and during our stay at the hotel. Her support and kindness made our experience even better. Rooms smelt like sprey against cockaroches. Room for 4 people and 2 chairs only on the veranda! No line to dry your clothes..

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is excellent—Karfas is one of the best bays in Chios, and the sea experience there is absolutely worth it. The hotel offers great value for money. Breakfast was rich and delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Highly recommended!

“Good stay”
We booked a 3 people room with a sofa bed, but the reception team kindly gave us a room with 3 single beds. The breakfast is extremely good. The hotel has beach access so that was helpful, although sun bed amount was very limited and it was difficult to find an empty one. The location of the hotel is really good and it’s short walking distance to tavernas and restaurants. We also enjoyed the cocktails at the pool bar.

Buffett breakfast was plentiful and you will enjoy. I did like the option for Greek coffee that you could make on your own. I skipped breakfast a couple of times as on full board and there was soooo much food. All amazing and staff were very friendly and professional. We had the full board and it was really good choice, fresh well cooked and amazing taste. My kids particularly enjoyed the chicken fillet and the burgers. But for me the highlight was the pasta with prawns and mastic. Amazing!!! The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We were almost ready when we booked because of the reviews to fork out 3 times as much for a 5 star and I'm glad we did not. This is a decent and clean hotel. Yes dated but with character. If you are super fussy maybe not the place for you. If you are going for the sun and the beach or sightseeing then just book and you will not regret it. May I give my compliments to restaurant staff they were amazing. Reception also was giving a quick comfortable experience and check in and check out. Sorry forgot to mention balcony door was not locking but we were not bothered as it was super safe anyway. Maybe just a recommendation. A drying line on the balcony for the swimsuits. All great and thank you.

“Moderate for p/p”
Hotel is "oldies, but goldies" in Karfas/ Chios. Wide beach, and good for children. Breakfast was enough. It was our second year in this hotel; we preffered it to expand our holiday as it was OK from last year experience.

Location, cleaning, The hotel has a private beach, sea, swimming pool, breakfast and Lemnia from reception staff (She is friendly and sweet staff). I can advise Taverna Pinaleon Restaurant for for fresh sea food. It is so close to hotel.
